Instinctively, he wanted to tilt his head out of reach to avoid the sloppy, excited kisses but with a fair amount of restrain he resisted. It wasn't so bad, it was kind of nice, even if affection was still an unknown to Askan. From anyone else he would have no doubt bolted, but for Percy- once again- she was an exception to an unsaid rule. One that he never really wavered from.
Askan was content to let her set the pace to the river, he was in no rush to get back and honestly he was just happy to see her up and about. Sure, it was clear that she was feeling sore, but he too concluded that a dip in the water might elevate some of the pain. As soon as she threw herself into the stream, Askan plonked himself down on his haunches to watch from a safe distance, lest she try and splash him. Her sheepish grin earned an amused, deep chuckle and his tail tapped at the ground in beat to his laughter.
"Yeah?" Thank the Gods for that, he wasn't exactly sure he'd get away with explaining her injury without saying she had been a little naughty. It seemed as though he didn't have to worry about that now. All was well, as it should be. "Uh huh." Askan agreed with a nod of his own. "I won't tell her if you don't. Deal?" He proposed with a silly, floppy tongued grin. Unsurprisingly, she agreed.
Today was good, he was feeling good.
