Holly
@Kjors

Holly, you are witness to the wind the manipulating snow into a wolf-like figure before it is blown away to nothing.

To be honest, Holly had never truly believed in any sort of higher beings or anything like that. It was always her ma saying stuff like 'thank the gods.' or something along those lines. But her ma never really taught her much about the gods she was always thanking, other than a few small things, telling Holly she'd have to find them herself. Part of Holly thought it had something to do with her mother being rather laid back and not wanting to force her opinions onto young minds. In fact, her ma had once told holy and her siblings to believe in whatever they wished but to make sure all the facts were right.

But just because she didn't believe in anything, didn't mean she wasn't curious about the subject. Thoughts of whether such beings did really exist or not always swirled in her head when she was feeling introspective.

One of the few things she did truly believed in were the spirits and ghosts of others who remained on earth but in a state of ethereal energy. So as she was contemplating finding shelter in this wind and snow, her eyes scanning the area around her darted back to look towards a strange shape. The young wolf froze in mid step, as what looked like the shape of a wolf wavered to her left. It seemingly stared at her, with snow dancing around its form before it quickly dissipated.

The bloody hell was that? There mind screamed at her. Winds whip up snow and her siblings used to play 'guess the shape's yes, but that was a game. This one looked far too defined to just be floating snow...

But it had to be, her mind was logically trying to reason. Maybe she was too cold and truly needed to find shelter fast, before she had a brain freeze, along with everything else. Her cold legs went back into motion and she scrambled towards where the 'wolf' had been standing beside a tree. There was nothing. No foot prints in the snow or any sort of disturbances to the white powder that would indicate a wolf had just been there.

But as she continued to look around, she noticed with relief there was an old den, among the roots of an old, large tree. It looked abandoned, with varying scents within it but Holly wasn't picky and none of them seemed recent. If it meant she was out of the cold for now, she was happy to use it.

For an hour, the young wolf lay curled up in the den, lightly dozing as the wind outside died down. Her legs and body over all was feeling a lot warmer and the light nap was doing wonders for her tired mind. Deciding that she might as well go looking for some food now she felt slightly refreshed, Holly crawled out of the den and yawned widely while stretching.

The thought of the weird wolf figure from before was nearly forgotten, until she glanced over towards where it had been and noticed some tracks nearby. Had they been there before? She frowned.

She considered following them to see where they went, her curiosity getting the better of her and she tracked them carefully.

Kjors Sørenson

He did not often trek out alone, not these days.  To be alone was to leave Bennet behind, and while he had little doubt that Karina was a perfectly capable mother (he never would have proceeded otherwise, in the very beginning of springtime…), something ate at him whenever the little dragon was out of his sight.  That same ate at the male just now as he trekked through the snow, but he did not regret his choice to leave the cub with her mother.  The weather was fierce, a test of any wolf’s stamina, and he had little doubt it would be poor parenting on his behalf to drag the girl through it, no matter how well she was growing.

So deep in his thoughts, and all but ready to turn around and head ‘home’ to his current makeshift den, Kjors paused as the wind curled around him, briefly scenting another wolf.  Until now, the biting air had been against him; had he been tracked?

Ears flew back against his skull as the one-eyed male whirled about, golden orb narrowed against the buffeting flakes as he made out the shape of another several lengths away.  His tail raised slowly above his back; Kjors was in no mood for a fight, but if this wolf sought harm, they had another thing coming.

“Whaddya want?” he barked hoarsely, not enjoying the wind one bit. “Ah know yer back there.”
