shall we fade and have an updated one :3?
Ordinarily Iyes might have been embarrassed to be caught in the act of basically head-butting a tree, but Heigen's presence was not one which frightened her. She donned a sheepish grin as she looked upward toward her freshly minted mentor, giving a rough shake of her coat and letting her tongue loll from the side of her slightly parted jaws as if to show she was alright despite her minor blunder. Hopefully one day soon she'd have more tough muscles on her frame and then she could smack into any tree any which way and the tree would be the one worse off for it.
She smiled brighter at the prospect of patrols and spars, but mostly that he offered his help gladly. No one had ever offered her help gladly before. Well, except for Kyna, but that was different than this in some way that Iyes could not articulate. Maybe she would have known better if there had been a father in her life before - but even this was a role perhaps not even Mace could fill.
Their pawsteps circled back towards the den and she found herself slowing down, her cheek tempted to turn back toward the borders and the world that extended beyond the territory they had claimed. Maybe it just didn't stink enough quite like Iyes yet. "How about tomorrow?" She peeped, hope shining in her bright amber eyes. "For patrols or for spars or for anything?" She tried her best not to overwhelm him with her enthusiasm but the toothiness of her grin kept widening. The least she could do was afford him one more day of peace before she glued herself to his side wherever he went.
