Oceanic eyes clasped shut, as emotions of uncertainty, happiness, and budding adoration crashed against her internal walls allowing the smallest crack to break through to shine the brightest of light inside. Love wasn't for the faint of heart. It wasn't a simple thing that was easily explained to a dull mind. Love had twists and turns, valleys and mountains, leaves you in agony but will make you feel high on happiness. It teaches you about the deepest parts of your soul, secrets you never thought you could discover. Love can make you strong, but it can also leave you weak and broken. Adelayde knew broken love. She knewlost love that broke her very heart into minuscule pieces that know matter how hard she tried to put it back together, she was only left with bloodied paws. With the only two beings she truly felt love for left murdered, it felt impossible to her to find the strength to once again risk everything. To have her heart shattered again, was it worth it? Was he worth it? As he tightened his embrace, burrowing into her nape, she was hesitant unsure of the answer. Instead, she breathed deeper, letting those worries drift away momentarily.
As her word vomit ended, her ears steadied to catch any response he could say to possibly put her mind at ease or help her figure out what might of happened. Frowning as he admitted he didn't know either, she was glad that it wasn't just her who couldn't figure out what went wrong. Adelayde was no mind reader and she sure hoped Reyes didn't expect her to be. She normally was proficient in assessing another's mood and what could be going through their head, but that? What was that?
Nodding, she should really talk to one of them. Askan could tell her what was wrong, but would that leave Reyes and her on unsteady terms still? She didn't really care much for the guy, but Askan sure liked him as he was hanging out with him so much that she was sure she probably couldn't tell the two apart by scent. Nodding again agreeing with Laike, "Yeah, I should just talk to one of them." Moving towards him then, she turned to sit side by side next to him. Resting her head against his neck, she sighed loudly then. Letting all her worries disappear in that moment, she wanted to relax and have a simple day with the pale agouti man.
Lifting her gaze up to him then, a mischievous smile playing across her ebony lips as she rose to her feet and drew away from him. Acting as if she was simply walking away from him, she then turned on a dime and fell into a play bow as she released a playful bark. Banner waving above her back, she invited him to challenge her.
