I apologize in advance for any spelling and grammatical errors it's 2am here but I wanted to bang out a few replies, since I got back from vacation work has been overwhelming. ugh

The magpie's had silenced long ago becoming fearful of the big brutes growls, though the bountiful birds still sat in their high perches and watched raptly, they dare not make more noise.

He spoke to the whelp who pointedly ignored him, and oh that irritated him to no end, just as he considered snapping the pup up and adding it to the top of his pile of birds he heard crashing though the brush, only a moment before a tiny little femme threw herself at him with vicious intent. Which confused him to no end since the only one who had drawn blood so far was the young pup, and not Zev, thus-so the brute had not hurt the pup, though pay back might be a bitch and Zev loved his revenge cold, he could wait years for it, and this whelp would get a dish of it soon enough.

Zev did not have time to move from her path the best he could do with such little time to prepare was the throw his shoulder forward and instead let her clamp only on flesh rather then vital structures in his throat.

The moment her teeth closed upon his flesh his teeth snapped back. He side stepped the the left to absorb her forward motion this however made the pair crash though his neat pile of birds sending the carcasses in every direction. With a roar of fustration, Zev turned his head toward her and snapped for her skull or ear even, however his goal was to keep his teeth between her teeth and his jugular.

Pip Mizuno-Sørenson

Fighting had never been Pip's claim to fame. All her life, she'd been the omega, first by enforcement and then by meek choice. Far from a masochist, the mute did all she could to avoid conflict as a youngster. Now that she was older, she was more likely to throw herself into conflict to keep her packmates from devolving into too serious of a fight. She had learned to use her position like something of a weapon, knowing full well most of her pack wanted no harm to come to her. If she used her body like a blockade, squabbles could calm.

But this was no squabble and she wasn't about to back down.

No growls or snarls rumbled from her chest, though her expression spoke clearly of the fact that there certainly would be if she had the voice for it. When her teeth sank into flesh - a shoulder rather than the neck she intended for - the small female crunched down as hard as she was able to maintain her grip and tasted blood. Aside from her own and the blood from injuries, Pip had never had wolf blood rush into her mouth like prey's before. It was disarming and disgusting, but letting go would be far more disgusting to her. She was going to protect her pup. Aegir was the only one she had left. She wasn't about to lose him to someone like this.

The ashen male was so much bigger than her, in size and in weight. He practically dwarfed her and part of her felt like a fly pestering a much larger animal when he turned to snap at her in return. The mute's entire body moved with him, paws lifted off the ground with his strength, but still she did not relent. Not even when she felt the graze of his teeth against her head just in front of her ear.

Undeterred by the blood now dripping into her right eye from the wound above it, the mother planted her paws once more and shook her head like she would to fracture the spine of a rabbit, pulling at muscle and skin for all she was worth.

I am assuming Aegir is far enough away that the fight can continue until he wants to jump back in? if not let me know and I'll delete,

Zev didn't mind pain sometimes he even welcomed it, but this ... this was ridiculous, All he wanted to do was offer his days labor to his patron, and this whelp interfered without any desire to learn, and even drew first blood. He had not attacked the pup yet, thus he felt he did not yet deserve this wrath.

He snarled into her ear as his flesh tore under the femme's ministrations her teeth though not dug into his shoulder blade bone slammed against it repeatedly from below his flesh as her head shook viciously, This attack might be felt years from now as the bone not meant for abuse like this began to bruise.

The brute grabbed her ear biting down until the cartilage below crushed, it may never stand tall again, especially if she didn't get it tended to by a healer. The thought that he himself could help her heal it upright flickered through his mind but faded just as quickly, he'd not help her, in fact if he had the advantage; Every drop of her blood would coat the ground and prayers to his patrons would adorn it.

Currently he only wanted escape, these birds were not worthy enough a sacrifice to his gods anyway. The bodies of the birds were under the brawling wolves paws, flying left and right as the female shook her whole body in attempt to use every bit of her minute weight against the brute.

Still crushing her ear Zev tried to shove her toward the ground not caring if his skin left his body and went with her as he attempted to pin her under his weight with the very shoulder she was savaging.

Holding her ear, in his teeth his words were very clear and he made sure to annunciate clearly You and the whelp want the birds; keep them. Just back off and I'll leave peacefully, one more tug and I'll kill you then offer 'your' entrails to the gods instead.

If the fight continued eventually the brute would get the upper paw and he was not one to break a promise. Every twist of her head against his shoulder brought a crushing of his teeth into her ear, he was very close to wanting to just rip it from her skull, but he intended to leave if she let go and ripping the appendage off would only hinder his goal.

Despite her vicious shaking, the demon appeared undeterred. She wondered if he was afflicted by the same madness that the green-eyed monster carried within his soul. Pip's breath blasted over the male's wound as she snarled in silence. When the beast grabbed again towards her head, she felt the painful pinch of the cartilage of her ear caught in his teeth. Initially, the mute bit down harder in an attempt to get him to let go, but she couldn't tell if he even noticed.

Even the moose had reacted violently to her attack when she'd come after it like this. Was this wolf even...surely he was a demon. Only demons would even think of harming an innocent puppy!

Pip felt a dangerous turn of the tide as her opponent used his weight and her slight frame to his advantage. Her legs shuddered beneath her as she tried to hold up herself as well as him with some success. But Pip was ill-fit for battle. Her strengths lie in her ability to hunt. She was fleet of foot and had come a long way in terms of ambushing. However, a prolonged fight such as this was to her disadvantage. Fatigue was already settling in her muscles. When she locked them determinedly, they held firmly in place for only a minute under his onslaught before they failed.

The agouti female fell beneath him, her legs sliding out from under her until her back was on the ground and her teeth still locked into the shoulder pressing down on her. His words were sharp and cacophonous against her bleeding ear and made little sense to Pip. Birds? What in the name of the Hollow was he talking about? And just how did he expect her to back off when he had her pinned? Was she supposed to let go so that he may thoroughly savage her and then kill Aegir? She thought not! She may have been born and raised a coward, but she refused to die like one when Aegir's life was on the line.

Her angle was getting wrong to maintain her hold on the male's shoulder. It was twisting her neck uncomfortably and there was still the matter of her ear being trapped. In a desperate attempt, the mute let go of his shoulder to yank her ear - now torn and bloody - from his grasp only to snap fiercely at the muzzle so near her face. She hoped she got him! Hoped he couldn't breathe for weeks out of the swollen mess of it! Even as she snapped, her paws scrambled at his underbelly, claws aiming to scrape and dig furrows where they could.

He plans on exiting this round but if you want to chase him down that's fine too, Pip will have a good attack in before he could get a retaliation in since he's only walking away

He will willed his pain to another plain, ignoring it, accepting it. This meagre blood sacrifice would have to do rather then the one he had planned with the magpies. His blood and her blood mixed on the ground and he hissed a quick prayer in a strange tongue, and swiped his free paw through the blood soaked earth kicking it up and spreading it to the wind.

The 50 some odd birds below their feet made it hard to gain purchase but even so the brute felt the female give way below him, And he was glad for it, soon he'd be free to leave. The blood had kissed the earth and sung in the wind, his flesh sacrifice would have to wait for another day, and the whelp owed him now, he'd be back eventually to collect, he never forgot. Even as the boy would grow his debt would have to be paid eventually, this spilled blood from the female, Zev counted toward the younglings debt, for if it were not for the pup then this much of his own blood would not have spilled.

The quiet female finally let go of his shoulder and Zev instantly released her and sprang back like a rabbit, in that motion her teeth caught his muzzle and tore it anew, adding to the teeth marks put there by her own son. She had intended to grab his muzzled but instead of getting his muzzle in hers it was more of a gnashing of teeth against teeth, as his teeth were still bared. The contact between them though felt like rams having butted heads.

Now there was a good couple of feet between them, Zev spit blood onto a magpie and casually walked away, away from what ever lands he maybe close to trespassing on, hiding his limp as best he could, for he still didn't feel the pain yet. That would come later, when his mind could no longer stand the strain of blocking it.

He did not even spare a glance toward the young pup who had now officially stolen his days work. Zev's empty stomach complained as he had not yet eaten today planing to do so later after he had made his offering to his patron. How could his stomach complain, when the pain of his abused shoulder was trying to creep back into his full consciousness. This ruined shoulder would make food harder to hunt, yet another thing to add to the 'debt' Zev decided the young pup was wracking up.

He was going to kill this brute.

The scent of blood had stirred the one-eyed dragon from his usual patrols (thinly disguised as keeping an eye on his son) as did the sound of scrabble and chaos.  His first thought was not of his mate – for rarely did she make any sort of noise, much less a fight – but of his son, who was curious and troublesome and had about as much tact as his father did.  Kjell turned abruptly, ears straining forward as he tried to follow the sounds, and that was where he found Pip and the stranger, bloody and tufts of fur, and—

He was going to kill this man.

“Y’better run,” the dragon snarled, golden eye gleaming something wicked as he ran top speed at the animal’s side, ears flipped back as he gnashed his teeth.  He was going enjoy every last second of this.  Who did this thing think it was, hurting his Signy like that?  He roared after the beast, which seemed to be leaving, biting and snapping as its hind limbs – he’d kill it.  Tear it limb from limb.  That Ægir was here – or had been here at all – had escaped his mind.

If @Zev doesn't leave, consider this Kjell's attack in a fight.

Trust your heart if the seas catch fire
Aegir Sørenson

At first Aegir thought his Ma was incredible! So strong and brave to go up against this behemoth. But there more blows that were traded and the more blood that was shed...Aegir decided he didn't like this. Not one bit. He'd been sitting comfortably, but he soon curled in on himself and his his face behind his tail. It wasn't as bushy as his Ma's or Da's but it was better than having to watch the scene before him.

Aegir was brave and one day would be strong but... He wasn't quite ready to see what it entailed. He'd much rather curl up with his Ma and Da and snooze the afternoon away.

The Little Dragon feared things couldn't get much worse, when his might Da arrived on the scene and his voice was as booming as thunder. He couldn't see what was happening-even then he didn't want to look- but he knew that things were better than before. Two parents were better than one, and that the monster didn't stand a chance against a raging dragon.

Aegir wanted the comfort of his Mother more than he wanted to hide, so he climbed to his wobbly-how did that happen?- legs and hurried over to his Ma's side. She smelled funny, wrong, like something bad and...dare he say it, frightening. A whine passed from his lips as he nudged at her shoulder. He didn't know what to say or do but...This was something, right?

"Ma, leggo."He wanted to go back to their good place, their safe place. Screw the birds, he wanted to go home.

Pip felt some satisfaction in knowing the male would hurt. That she'd left him with a parting gift. Ironically, she was reminded of Ophelia and the disastrous wound the yearling had left upon her own shoulder. With Veho's ministrations, it healed well enough despite the mute's efforts to remain isolated during the process. She doubted a monster like that had anyone to help him heal or feel better. She hoped he had difficulty hunting for weeks! Hope he felt the pain in his gut as starvation slowly crept in on him. How dare he threaten her pup!

At least he was running off. Thought better of messing with an angry mother, she supposed. After all, she was slight of frame and could be readily overwhelmed especially considering her inexperience. Her ear hurt, but the superficial scrape along her skull just rostral to her ear hurt worse. Shaking her head only flung blood in wild drops to stain the forest floor, so she resisted doing so further and angering the wound any more.

The young mother panted heavily, exhausted from such a violent exertion of force, and couldn't even chirp out a warning to Kjell when he surged past her in pursuit of their assailant. Her mate would return, either victorious in vanquishing the fiend or victorious in having chased him off. Where she lacked experience in brawls, Kjell had it in spades.

Even as her eyes raced to search out Aegir, the pup was already at her side in search of comfort. Relief flooded her, expressing itself in tears that fell readily as she licked him forcefully as if to reassure herself of his safety. She'd never been so afraid in her life! The times that her own life had been at risk could not compare to the knowledge that Aegir could be injured or worse. Shaky now that adrenaline abandoned her, Pip sank down to curl around her growing boy and sobbed silently into his fur with violent shakes of her shoulders.

She yearned to warn him to never do that again. To never frighten her in such a way. To not wander off without letting her know where he was going. But she had no voice for such things and, despite her worry, could never hinder his free spirit in such a way. He was a young dragon, after all, and did not deserve to be yoked and chained to her side forever. So instead she just smothered him in kisses, thanking the gods of the wind and sea that he was still with her.
