She never took Maera's stoic nature to heart, she just responded as she always did with a soft smile and a wave of her tail. She had been there for them when they needed her most, time and time again. If that didn't prove that she cared, nothing would (not to mention her infinite patience where her mother was concerned), and she responded to her words with a firm nod.

If they had a few more bodies around, it would mean that they would all get a break. Her father could rest his shoulder and Maera and Kerberos would have the freedom to enjoy each other rather than just spotting each other in passing and then collapsing at the end of the day. Treyah didn't foresee any such breaks for herself, but she was hoping for an opportunity to spend more time teaching her siblings about things that mattered, like hunting and a few of the plants her mother had shown her. "I'll do my best!" She promised with a smile. She would always try to do her best.
