Everyday the gray boy thought about his parents and hoped they weren't too worried about him. Elyan knew she should have gone back and told his mother that he was going to look for Arwyn and there wasn't anything she could do to stop him. He felt he had to do this, even if he didn't find her at least he knew that he had tried. He'd spent weeks searching the tundra living on what he could find. He'd lost some of his puppy fat but other than that he didn't think he was doing too bad for himself with this being the first time he'd really been on his own. There had been no sign of his sister in the tall grasses that had turned yellow with the changing of the seasons.
He'd now come to a place that was populated with trees and a fog hung in the air causing the sun to give things weird shadows. It gave the boy a chill down his spine but he carried on. “Arwyn,” called through the trees. He'd tried this often in case she was in the area but he wasn't much luck. Still he couldn't give up. “Arwyn, are you here?” He called again before standing still and listening for a reply that he hoped would belong to his sister.
