It was a little weird, finally knowing the information she’d looked for all this time. It had taken so long just to get any confirmation about Kajika or Namid or Fallen Tree Cove, and even longer to find the damn place. Should have been called Hidden Tree Cove, maybe. She huffed, watching the stranger go – never did get his name – that was okay, though. He didn’t have hers. Safer that way.
Eventually the stench started getting to the yearling and she reoriented. She had a direction now. All she had to do was move her legs, and she’d finally get the answers she’d come to the Wildwood seeking.
