A few good, squishy rolls, and both wolves were coated in sticky juice. Her fur was already starting to stick up in clumpy little shards – Namir could only imagine it would get worse as time went on. If that wasn’t motivation to move, than the chorus of howls following that line of thought was. The kind was right. They needed to get the hell out of here.

“Yeah,” she agreed, turning eastwards. The mountain was directly eastward of them, but she was fairly certain if she moved a little northeast she’d avoid the climb – and find a spring. There was a pack there, the last time she’d passed by, but hopefully no one would mind if she crept in for a quick bath.

And it would help them hide.

“C’mon. I know a place.”
