Halloween RE: You've found a crop of apples, but they're floating in a nearby pond! Can you bob them all out? Open to anyone!

Since moving away from the big lake and Vigils Keep, Neha had made it a point to make herself scarce. The split had happened, but even during this time away, she had kept her loyalty to what remained of the pack. She wasn't sure what the future would hold for her. Of how long she'd stay, or if she'd branch off and join another group. She felt numb...like she was just floating adrift.

This time alone she needed. She knew the others would respect that, especially her own brother. Heck, she didn't even know how long she'd be away. Be it for days, weeks or even months. Perhaps as long as it took, while she did some soul searching. Maybe even travelling to parts of the Lore she had not yet seen while at it. Speaking of which....

Just a little southward than her usual haunts, Neha found herself in a peaceful little area. It was quiet, with no sign of any other packs nearby. As she edged ever deeper into the area, a familiar glimmer caught her eye. Water. A modest sized pool of it, though by no means anything like the lake. Her brows pinched together. Something was floating on the surface, bobbing gently. Curiosity getting the better of her, she stopped by the bank, peering down as one of the said objects drifted closer. The glimmer of red and the ripened scent gave it all away. They were apples...many of them, having fallen from an overhanging tree. Well, what a shame it'd be to let a perfectly good food source go to waste.

Continueing to wander was all right. He'd kinda missed it actually. Gathering information, seeing new things, meeting strangers. Especially since most of them were quite nice. Maybe, it wasn't so terrible he'd come back.

Prodding along, he was mostly quiet. His eyes taking in the details that surrounded him. Pausing now and then when he heard a noise. Or when it looked like he could try a new direction. So far in this section of land had him unimpressed. He didn't like the trees touching him, nor how dark it suddenly got. They were just foreboding by their twisted shapes. Did they really go on forever? It was no wonder he didn't smell a single creature. Well besides the vermin who thought this was the best hiding place ever. A huff, he tried another path. His steps more rapid. Like hell he was sleeping here today.

Eventually the scent of a lady caught his attention. Maybe she knew the way out, or at least he wouldn't be alone. Impatient he didn't even try to be quiet as he moved forward. In his heed he began to tangle himself in the stupid sticks above him. One was under his chin, and stuck in the course hair of his chest. Another poking the back of his ear. Irritated, he twisted to get out of it, and the undergrowth circled round his hind leg. "Damn plants," he muttered. Trying to kick the tangle off his ankle, he finally broke the branch. Though what remained of it it hung from his neck as he tore forward, still shaking at the string of vine round his foot. "Piece of..." But his words died in his throat as he realized he was in the clearing, and saw the lady he'd been following. "Uh hi," he greeted, then shook out his coat. Some debris flew from his head, and back but he couldn't shake the stupid stick.

She took one step and then another, ready to place a paw tentatively into the shallow water. Her neck outstretched, dark nostrils flared subtly as she took in the crisp, semi sweet aroma of the apples waiting before her. Ranging from cherry red to deep crimson, the fruit, not quite perfectly circular in their shape, bobbed listlessly in the water. There was no reaching them on her own, nor from the comfort of dry ground. If Neha wanted to have a taste, she would have to act.

But then a disturbance. The sound of something or someone crashing none too quietly through the dense foliage of the forest surrounding the spring. And a voice, muttering in irritation. Neha shuffled back, away from the chilly water which she was about to step into, brows pinched curiously. Who was out here? A surge wolf, or perhaps one from Nineva's band? She wasn't so sure if she wanted the company from anyone she knew. The figure that emerged, was luckily, that of a wolf she did not recognize by scent nor sight. His coat was dark, but tinted with lighter shades and his eyes like ice. She almost smirked at the sight of him, disheveled and with vines and sticks stuck in his fur. But no such amusement worked it's way towards her face. "Hello." She returned simply, shifting position to face him. "Looks like you've...had a rough go of it there." Her brown eyes fell notably on the mess of twigs caught in his coat. The humor that was lacking on her features, seeped slightly into her voice. "Though...you might have just the tool I need for my own predicament..." She said, taking a slow step forward.
