She didn't want to be left behind when all her siblings left and went with the others back to their home. She was rather tired of getting left out because of her leg. She knew the time was coming that everyone would be leaving and she didn't want to miss her chance to go to. There was only one problem. After the whole fiasco with the storm and getting lost Kateri thought it best that she talk to her mother about going. She didn't want to scare her again like she had before.
The young Slayer waited until her mother had returned to the den. She'd been outside resting and chewing on the skull that Chan had brought her. Once Aquene came into view she got to her feet, "Mama, can we talk? Please," She asked. She wanted more than anything for this to go well but she was also prepared for her mother to tell her that it wasn't the best idea right now.
