Alexander tips his head back, letting out a long, slow exhale. The sky was a dull dark blue now, simply glittering with stars, rather than the brilliant lights that they'd reveled in just a few minutes before. There was a pang of regret in him now, seeing them gone, but surely they would come again. His chin fell level, and his ears flipped back, jaw locking in a yawn. The day's events were only now catching up with him, but it would be rude to yawn in front of her, as if she'd bored him which wasn't the case at all. Her movement catches her eye, and he takes in a slight breath, suddenly getting a noseful of her scent, which he'd mostly forgotten about. But in his sleepy state, he felt rather...vulnerable. Groaning quietly, he eyes the plant she drops at his feet.
Dipping down, he takes the plant in his jaws, chewing it up quietly, letting the slightly bitter taste wash over his tongue and fill his head. It prevented him, at least for the moment, from smelling anything else, for which he was quite thankful. Sitting back up, he gave her a slight smile, then got to his paws as she laid down and shut her eyes. Before turning back into the den to give her some privacy, he touched his nose to the base of her ear, then disappeared to get some rest of his own. <b style="color:#51b85f">"speech."
