Random Event! You keep hearing loud snaps and cracks, and when you look up you see that showers of color are exploding and disappearing from the sky in the far distance.
For one reason or another, sleep felt impossible. So she had wormed herself free of familiar bodies and stepped out into the cold, night air. The world was being softly swept in a new dusting of snow when she emerged. Lightly, carefully. As if Mother Nature suddenly had great concern for how she placed snow upon the earth.
Then a cracking sound. A snap. A pop.
Her heart hammered in her chest and she took off without thinking. Up, up, up on a trail she had traveled with Magg. As she panted for air and reach a ledge, she heard this sound again.
But now she witnessed colors too. Bright and brilliant, far off in the distance.
