Hagar
Random Event: You keep hearing loud snaps and cracks, and when you look up you see that showers of color are exploding and disappearing from the sky in the far distance. For @Rashina only.

Hagar had been hunting when the firework display began, distant but still visible just above the canopy of the forests beyond the fields. He tensed and crouched lower to the earth instinctively, his prey equally started and choosing to dart off instead. Mossy eyes sought a source and found the bursts of color quickly. Immediately, he thought of Moore and ball of sparks in the sky they'd witnessed together. Perhaps he would have felt less fright this time, but there was a marked difference that shook him; these kept coming.

His mind raced, unsure of what his next action should be. He wanted to immediately round up the children and take them underground, but also felt compelled to continue watching the event and learn more about what exactly was happening. One saving grace was that he noticed the activity did not appear to be coming closer, and it was only the repeated sounds that seemed to disturb the other wildlife around him.

Hagar stood, and took a step forward, ears pressed ahead and small eyes cautiously wide.

"Dont...!" The voice loud whispered to Hager, as he took a single step forward. His paw crunched on the earth, his scent filled her powerful nose, the skies boomed loudly, unlike any thunder she had ever heard before. Ra's ears pressed tightly to her skull, her body hunkered down in the foliage of her home.

"The Gods are striking the skies- they are warning yet I do not know why..!" She quivered into herself. Unable to see the colors which brightly sparked the skies, only the loudness, only her fear of the God's wrath.

Hagar
She startled him greatly, Hagar leaping with more agility than one might expect from a wolf that looked like him. He twirled round to spot Ra's familiar face, those odd dark markings of hers standing out amongst the rest of her and the surrounding snow. Instinctively he went to his pack mate, crouching down beside her with a single limb crossed over her shoulders protectively. He didn't want to think about what it must be like to hear a threat and not be able to look for it.

"It's far off," he explained to her, giving her information that he assumed she was missing. Maybe it would help her calm, and then they could come up with a plan together.

"Bright lights above the western forests, coming and going. Like an aurora but a lot more... active. What do you know of that?"

For he knew next to nothing about gods and their abilities.

He jumps suddenly due to her, causing those sharply pointed ears upon her head to fold down, a frown on her face. She had not meant to do that, but Hagar soon collects himself and makes way to her side. He offers the comfort of a foreleg dropped across bony pale shoulders.

Hagar speaks of the distance which the noise comes from. Without the sight of the lights and with how loud it was, it was impossible for Ra to tell.

The sound came from the forests in the west. Lights painted the sky, like an Aurora, but apparently on a much greater scale.

"I...I have seen this. This, aurora, before..." Before she lost her sight of mortality and was given a new vision instead. "It is calm and peaceful. The gods dance in the heavens and show us their beauty and give knowledge they watch over us. This," She shoves her muzzle upward to the skies, though she could not see. "This sounds like the drums of war- a battle march." She takes a deep breath, fighting back a whine caught in her throat. "I fear worse times are to come for us at the Ridge."

Hagar
There was something to Rashina's voice that uneased him. His own ears leaned back against his nape and his brow furrowed as he listened intently. He lacked proper meaning for some of the words she uttered, and he repeated one in particular under his breath.

"Battle... ?"

It was easy to tell this was not a positive interpretation, that their blind comrade saw something stark awaiting the pack. Hagar did not know any better and so did not doubt her. These predictions were given credulity by him.

"What exactly is coming?"

What worse could there be? Perhaps more catastrophic weather? That was intimidating enough on its own, the drought already having taken such a hefty toll on the Lore...

Ra is quiet for a time, when he questions her and her head is lifted to the skies. Her opal eyes seeking, but not for images that this world had to offer. She is in deep thought and then, after awhile, her head lowers and into his direction.

"It will be a battle for our lives. Our place as pack and as family will be tested. For others, pack and family is the same. For us, a division is among us." She did not know entirely it's meaning. The Gods often spoke in riddles. If she was uncertain it was likely Hagar would be too. Often the answer to the riddles were not understood until it came slapping you in the face.

Hagar
Hagar continued to be unsettled by what answers Avella's cousin had for him. He looked back to the sky, watched the colors come and go. A division... there was much it could mean, and he couldn't help but wonder if he was a part of that wedge. Was he making wrong choices, was this not where he belonged? A deep sigh left him, and he lowered his head onto a large dark forelimb.

Whatever was to come, whatever its source, he knew in his bones he wouldn't be leaving the Ridge. Every part of his being was determined to see his offspring through their childhood, to protect them from whatever nature through their way. Hopefully, clarity would come with time, and not too late to prevent great loss. Inhaling, he lifted his skull once again.

"I know where I stand," he spoke quietly, but with no shortage of confidence in the claim.

"Should we find Avella?"

Whether she wanted to continue bunkering in place or seek the safety of what was left of their pack, Hagar would stick with her. Had she her eyes, he would not feel so drawn to protecting her, but with those clouds in her vision he felt she needed his support.

'I know where i stand.' His words were firm over the crackling and bomb in the sky. She nods sharp, saying nothing more on the manner. After all, she could only give the answers which she had and nothing more, despite the answers often not clear. Then, when he mentions seeking out her cousin. "I think thats a good idea." She agreed and lifted herself up onto shaking limbs, ready to go. Perhaps deeper within the forestry or even in the cavern, the sounds would be far less loud to her.
