Fallen Tree Cove fade away

She seemed happy to hear he knew of her home, proud even. She was all smiles and tail waving, moving faster as they grew closer to her home. Eclypse announced the names of her parents with obvious pride. A sentiment the youth had every right to feel, all the more so considering where her family had managed to settle.

Yet it still forced a stab of envy through the loner’s heart. His name was not a badge of honor, but instead something reviled by those back home.

Once more Jadon’s thoughts darkened. His steps faltered, and he considered turning back rather than face the humiliation that was sure to come. But.. they were so close, now. At the very least, he could meet these wolves.

”Nash,” he’d speak softly, confirming that he had met her father. "Do you wish to proceed on first? To retrieve them?" He could wait if that was what she preferred. He couldn't be sure what was customary, here.

Her father!

Well, it was good that she had been the one to find this man first then. Perhaps her father would have fretted too much over seeing a known face in distress. Eclypse however was content to glaze over that in favor of only going upwards from here.

"You should at least come to the borders. It'll be safer there and they'll show up quick!"

She wanted to hear no protest on it (perhaps she resembled her mother in these ways too...) but would understand if he did. Either way she needed to forge onward closer to the Cove where she could rally her parents together for Jay.

His young potential savior believed it would be better for him to wait at the borders. Jadon agreed it would be both safer and better in most circumstances.. if the wolf that were escorting him had been an adult. Eclypse was young, and these were here parents. He hoped neither of them would grow concerned or defensive of their daughter, but.. he would trust said wolf enough to believe they would not.

”Alright. I shall meet you all near the borders,” he would concede with a little nod, the latter bit thrown in just in case Eclypse wished to go running onwards to gather her parents. Jay half hoped she would. So he could slow down, catch his breath, and at least try to attend to his appearance or some of his bramble-induced cuts before formally meeting the leadership of the cove.

^^ I'll assume he follows at a slightly slower pace, and can meet them near the SC borders.
