She should have come to expect this… that he would find cold feet and run from the life he was partially responsible for bringing into the world… her stomach churned the more she thought of it, a dark mood washing over her as it had over their several day travel with Reverie to bring her to the other side of the mountain. Soph did not like remaining in one place for long… and that meant she was to get out and explore a bit, daughter and Lillia in tow now that she was old enough to move more liberally through the environment.
She offered Lillia a gentle bump with her forehead, taking pause as her limbs ached and she moved to stretch them out, a yawn releasing silently from her maw. It was when her eyes fully opened that they widened, nearly popping out of her skull as she looked on… a deer of pure white stood before them, chewing, having not scented them yet… with the three of them, and Reverie as young as she was, Lillia knew they would not be able to hunt it.
With it’s odd coloring, she wasn’t sure that they should… while being downwind did provide to her that the scent did not indicate an illness, she had never seen anything like it and thus did not know what to make of it.
