Romanis Riordae
Granted the luxury of knowing his exact and true character it is unknown what Romanis would have thought or done. Perhaps she would have made haste in parting ways with the male, but maybe just maybe she wouldn’t be bothered at all. Not because she was some degenerate harlot looking for a ‘good time’ with a boy of equally low caliber, but simply because Romanis had made it her business to stray from judging others. Call it the mark of a recluse but she thought it better to bite her tongue less she was truly ready to allow others the chance to tear into her less than delightful back-story.

As the case was though all of this was not figured in the minds of the visiting wolves. They were simply living in the moment with each other and that was all that the young Riordae required. Better yet it was all that she could handle for the time being.

That being said the male’s answer left her with evaporating train of thought. Rome simply was not accustomed to thinking to far ahead and as such she struggled with his notions of many tomorrows away. Furthermore, it had been beyond that many ages since Romanis had even considered settling down with a pack. Although once again the reason being was not as straight forward as it might have seemed. Romanis rejected the concept of packs only because she had been unwanted by so many of them for such a long time now.

Things are different now though so perhaps…perhaps I could at least attempt it. A mere thought quickly spirited away by the winged beast of trepidation. What if she did try again? And what if she was denied again? What if they used their teeth-again?

As disheartened as she was on the inside, Rome was contrarily hard on the outside. Still ostensibly cool and ever warming to the male’s soft company –she quietly accepted the ultimate fate of their meeting.

There was no place in a world such as his for a girl such as her. A wolf tainted by a past forced upon her in the most unnatural of ways. It’s not fair…, she sulked but stopped a second later as she felt the backs of her eyes begin to prick with sentiment. Romanis was no stranger to the break down–given her periodic depression and all- but not in front of someone else. Not in front of such a winning stranger. She would feel entirely too weak.

So instead she stiffened her lip before coming to all four feet again. It was time to begin the inevitable before she allowed herself a single daydream more about replacing the deceased with Valiant. No, where Romanis belonged was where she was. Resting with Desra Tantamount and slowly –very slowing rotting away as well.

“Th-then g-good luck,” she professed with false cheer. “P-perhaps v-visit y-your old f-friend D-Desra and l-let h-her know h-how it all w-went.” If he was the type to speak to the dead.

Swishing her tail between her hind legs, Romanis waited to see if there was more. Privately she wished that there was, but above that –atop the throne of her insanity she wished that it had never even begun. It was easier that way after all.
