Set after the claiming of Cut Rock River — @Anneliese
<b style="font-family:georgia; font-size:11px; color:#D7DDDF;"> The venture over the mountains to their new home had left the frail, spider-legged yearling feeling spent but he was determined to explore the surrounding territories. Their journey had finally ended once they reached Cedarwood Forest, close to where Lachesis had first discovered Relic Lore. While the rain had finally dissolved it was replaced soft, semi-frozen drops of snow falling from the gray clouds overhead. The drop in temperature was a welcoming surprise to the Arctic wolf, as his birthplace was almost constantly covered in the peculiar substance. His winter coat had nearly pushed all the way through, which made the ghostly yearling look a lot much bigger than he actually was. Pleased with the turnaround in weather, the boy trudged through the forest until it dissipated into a damp, unwelcoming marsh. While he was not particularly fond of the sodden ground, XIX knew that the area would be ideal for finding hellebore to add to his plant inventory. Not ideal in high doses, the herb was ideal for reducing various illnesses and pain that were associated with the harsh weather that winter provided. A thin frown pressed into his pale maw as he delicately moved through the damp terrain, pale eyes narrowed in search of the bright green plant. He deterred away from the heavy saturated ground, as he knew hellebore was fond of damp soil not completely soaked soil. He did not mind the soft flakes of snow that settled onto his back – his thick, Arctic coat was designed to keep him warm in less than desirable temperatures. His mind occasionally wandered to his blue-eyed companion and how she was spending this dreary afternoon. The claiming of Cut Rock had left the youth quite puzzled – he did not know the creamy female that Maksim had called to his side, or why it was her chosen to lead as opposed to Anastasia. Though he did not know the green-eyed leader well enough, XIX still trusted his judgement. Surely there was a justified reason as to why his blue-eyed dove had not been established as his equal. Lachesis also knew that the switch of packs had resulted in a change in the once fragile china doll – the yearling knew that if Ana wanted the position badly enough she would challenge for it, and would not back down as easily as she had with Spectre. |
