Rais Rose
@Spectre

It wasn't unusual for him to explore, and although he would call himself part of Nomad's Pass, he really wasn't the type to root himself down for long. If anyone made the mistake of thinking him entirely loyal or subservient, it was their own mistake to deal with. The silvery male often followed his heart if not his stomach, and today his paws led him down the familiar mountainside and into the shadowed eastern forests. As much as he tried to keep the thought buried somewhere in the back of his mind and resist admitting the true reason for the day's venture, his thoughts couldn't help but stray to the silvery dame of his delirious fever dream. Logically, he knew she was likely a figment of his imagination, a brief and fleeting construction of dreams and desires, only strong enough to manifest to his food-poisoning addled brain.

His black streaked snout brushed low over the dark forest floor, fine tuned sense of smell searching for anything interesting. The sunlight barely managed to reach down to him through the gnarled leafy canopy, and Rais' slinking shape melded right into the shadows.

A shimmer in the distance beckoned him towards it. With haste he trotted forward, surprised yet somehow disappointed to find the source was only sunlight glinting off of a well concealed lake, the shade of the forest clawing right up to the water's edge. A pleasant surprise for the wanderer, surely, and he took the opportunity to sake his thirst with a few laps of the cool water. But he couldn't help the disappointment that squirmed in his chest at not finding the shining woman here.

Spectre Slayer

Venturing from the packs borders, Spectre's hunt for a decent meal and a suitable place to train Adsilla had taken her north, towards Umbra Copse. She had been tracking the scent of an Elk that she had crossed a few hours prior, following it without care about how far she had gone. It was not often that Spectre simply lost herself in the thrill of a hunt, but she realized just how far she had gone from the pack borders when things began to look slightly unfamiliar. Since her arrival in Relic Lore, Spectre had hardly ventured into Umbra Copse, and now she found herself in unknown territory. As the pale female paused, lifting her head from the path of the elk, she caught the smell of another on the breeze. It had her contemplating simply turning and running back towards Pitch Pine with her tail between her legs.

However, she had learned that there was no pack close to Pitch Pine, unless one ventured much farther north into Oak Tree Bend. Gathering herself, the huntress began wandering closer to the other smell, moving slowly, ice blue eyes peeled for signs of the other wolf. Spectre did not wish to find herself in trouble with another, but she was honestly interested in meeting the wolves that dwelled in the lands that she was now calling home. Coming closer, she ghosted around a tree and paused, eyes laying on the darker form standing near the water. So she had not been mistaken, another truly was there. Blinking, she cleared her throat gently, lowering her head slightly. "Good evening..."

Rais Rose
Sensing someone's presence, Rais' head lifted from the water and jerked in the female's direction, catching sight of the snowy pale wolf just as she offered a greeting. Water dripped from his jaw as he gawked, hardly believing his own eyes. His stare lingered over her for a moment too long, wondering if indeed the silvery hallucination had deemed to show itself again. She didn't quite match, too creamy hued and too sturdy a thing to be the girl of his midsummer night's dream. Despite that, she was still a pretty lady, and quickly shaking the excess moisture from his maw, Rais offered forth a hasty smile, black velvety ears pulling back slightly to give her the impression of humbleness. "My my, 'evening to you as well, miss. I didn't expect company."

He turned his body to face her, letting his back face the water and ignoring the itching sense of being cornered. He was confident enough that there was no corner that could hold him for long, and it was worth the risk he figured. Her scent, mingled and matched with the odor of others, as well as her well-fed figure, told Rais that she was likely a pack wolf. Knowing little about this area, he had no idea as to what pack that alliance did lie. The icy blue of her eyes caught his for a second, before the orange of his own irises settled on something more neutral like peculiar grey spots over her eyes. "You from around here?" He asked simply, with a curious crooked tilt of his skull.
