Borden Lyall

B o r d e n
we never had enough, we never had enough

As the Thorben slipped into the den, Borden stretched his forelimbs forward, sprawling out into a comfortable sphinx-ish position. His ears folded back in a want to relax, but before he could close his eyes, the young man returned. An ugly, deformed piece of bark was laid before him and he recognized it to be something he did not like. Initially he didn't like the look of it but the more Titan had harvested the mushroom, the more Borden found that the scent of it made his nose wrinkle in disgust. The taste of it wasn't bad, but it certainly was not an entrée of deer liver or rabbit leg.

Borden's ears drew back up from the question and, after finally regarding the wordless growl, he willingly consumed the fungus without a word. Perhaps that would be enough for a suitable answer. His incisors might have seen quite a bit of action over the long years of his life with its receding gum line and yellowing base, but nothing in his mouth hurt. The damp nose at the end of his muzzle twitched and, all too soon, he realized that Rook might have sent the aspiring medic - Titan - to "cub-sit" him.

As best as he could, he gave a small, appreciative smile then lowered his silvered head into the space between his wrists. If he was going to tolerate having someone around then he was going to make it easy on them. His eyes finally closed and if Titan was going to stick around then he was going to watch his Leader take one long and boring nap until Jaysyek returned.
