Vespertio Vuesain
Claiming thread! @Athena @Andromache @Silver For all Fallen Tree Cove pack members.

A few days had passed since Vespertio Vuesain and Athena Moon ventured up into the lower elevation of the Mountain of Dire to watch the sun set from a special vantage point the Moon woman held dear to her heart and kept secret from others, discussing the future of their soon to be pack and whatever it was going on between the two wolves. It was a place she had visited often during her previous reign of Poison Path and a hobby she often delved in with her mother as a pup growing up. Now a solid week had come and went since the duo scouted the lakeside for a perfect location to call home, to plant their roots for future generations to come. A place to rest their paws at the end of the day and they had done just that.

A natural cave of sorts was the soon to be den location for the Fallen Tree Cove, deriving its name from the fallen trees that littered a large formation of boulders that were ripped down from the mountainside just to the north of the lake. These trees wove their limped branches together to form a blind or curtain per say that shielded the entrance of the cave from prying eyes and eyes that didn't know better than to look beyond the surface. At first Vesper had fallen victim to the illusion until his partner in crime, Athena, poked through the curtains and discovered the vast open cavern that would serve well for a pack of wolves to seek shelter in whenever mother nature decided to release her fury on the world. Again, it had been a week since its discovery and now it was time to rally the troops, show them their new humble abode and stake claim to their lands.

Excitement fueled each step the dark saddled man took and shown bright in his golden gaze. This was finally it. All the hard work and patience to build this dream of his, of Athena's, of all of their followers was beginning to prove worth it. This made his mighty crown crane to steal a glance at the small harem of wolves that rallied behind him, his ivory queen strutting equal in pace at his side. The journey was not an easy one and the toil of travel showed on their faces underneath the same excitement that filled his steps. They too without a doubt were excited to be heading home for the first time, pushing through the tiredness and hunger that ached their paws and bellies. 'Soon, my soldiers. Soon you will need not worry about anything.' The Vuesain man thought to himself before bringing his thick coated frame to a halt, briefly turning his body to address his members. "It isn't much further to the den site, but I think a rest may be appreciated before the last leg of the journey."

As he stood there he allowed his golden gaze to grace over the faces of his members. First they settled on the icy blue orbs of Andromache, Athena's sister. She was his first and only recruit so far. Boy that was one interesting predicament when he brought her back to Athena and the two sisters ended up in a scuffle. His lips pulled back into the faintest of smirks at the thought before moving his gaze onward, this time falling on the swarthy pelted woman who he had noticed become Athena's shadow. Silver was her name and had previously left the ranks of Whisper Caverns in order to join in the ivory woman's plans to start a pack of her own. Vesper gave a small nod in her direction then moved on to gaze at Athena. What a sight to behold she was. Marred and ugly to most, but beautiful and powerful to him. He was still getting use to the odd sensations and feelings she arose in him, refusing to admit they existed, but that didn't affect how proud he was to have a strong, driven woman such as her to rule beside. Their group was small, but it was a start. It would take more hard work to build their numbers in the face of the coming winter, but he knew his members were capable of the task.

I should be shot...

They had finally done it. She had finally done it. With the help of Vesper, they were finally able to collect enough members to claim a land of their own. With Vesper, Silver, and Andromache at their sides, the group at last made their way to the Lost Lake to claim the land that was rightfully theirs. Taking a look back at her follwers, she had her sister Roma, who when they first met, ended up getting into a fight. Roma started it, but Athena ended it, of course. However, Roma got over her differences with Athena and the two of them grew close to each other like sisters should. Then she had her black coated friend, Silver, who she had met while in Whisper Caverns. The two instantly clicked and both wanted the same thing in life, so they partnered together. Lastly, she looked to her Vespertio. His charming tongue and quick wit impressed her and she was glad that he was the one leading besides her. She wouldn't have wanted anyone else in this moment in time.

As they climbed the rocky slopes that lead to the Lake, she thought about everything that had happened to her and what she had overcomed to get to where she was today. There were some things that she regretted, but there was no way for her to go back and change them. She wouldn't be here today if they hadn't happened. Glancing over to Vesper, a smile prevailed over her subtle nervousness in her gut. She had never claimed a pack for herself from the start. It was a nice feeling knowing that her hard work was about to pay off.

Their den site was soon in front of them and her ears twitched as Vesper spoke up. A smile formed on her lips at his words as she looked at the small group. This was a start. They would need to grow, but they would be okay for now. "This is it. This is our home now. Fallen Tree Cove's home." She said, short, sweet and to the point. They all knew what it took to claim this land and they didn't need a lecture on it. Without wasting anymore time, the once again White Queen lifted her maw and sang for all to hear. Fallen Tree Cove was here.

Andromache Moon

Roma had followed her sister and the man that Athena had chosen to lead beside her. She did so quietly, almost reserved. There was something about the task at hand they had Roma in a reverent mood. Though she had travelled for many years and had seen many things, met many different wolves, she had never claimed land for a pack before. To be part of such an event...Roma couldn't put the feeling into words. Her icy gaze shifted to look to her ivory sister, Athena. They had found each other despite all odds and now they had grown to be close as sisters should be. Athena's past was dark and Roma was still very curious about it, about what kind of woman her sister was, but at this point it didn't matter. She had formed such an immediate and intense bond with her sister, right after her sister had defeated her in battle, that it didn't matter what Athena had done in the past. Now, the Moon sisters had a future together and Roma would protect however she could.

Letting her gaze shift to the alpha male just in time to see his eyes shift to Athena, Roma smiled. She was good at reading other wolves' emotions and it was easy for her to tell that Vesper cared deeply for her sister. His feelings for Athena were enough to earn Roma's loyalty, though her respect might be a bit more difficult to come by. Finally, they reached the place the alphas had chosen as the pack den site. Roma took a quick look around and was satisfied with it. She could easily see where they had gotten the name from. But it mattered little to her what their den looked like. It was who she had to share it with that mattered. As her sister tilted her head back and began a beautiful, powerful song Roma joined in, adding her own deep, rich voice to her sister's. Now, this land was their land. It was home.
