Dull black nails clung onto the slippery boulders that lined her path of ascent for dear life as her ethereal form ghosted higher and higher up the mountainside. Further and further from the lake where she had come to temporarily call her rendezvous point and the stench of females in heat. Her own heat cycle was a sheer joy to experience, let alone sharing spiked estrogen levels with that of three other females. Especially that silvery female whom the colorless female had noticed being shadowed by Vespertio, the tawny pack patriarch. Hexamora was not dumb enough to be oblivious to the body language between the two and it would only be a matter of months now until annoying little crying balls of fur joined the ranks. Disgusting, demanding little devils that never shut up. This also left her to realize that the silver female whatever he name was again would soon be filling the void position of matriarch if she hadn't already. Just what Hex needed. Another ego inflated fool to temporarily 'swear her loyalty' to until she could recover enough to embark on a lonesome trail again.
Scaling the rocky heights of Dire she had plans of spending the day if not a couple away from the pack to collect her thoughts with the scent of fresh air and no other female wanting 'girl talk' or a bruising. Coming up to a ridge large enough to allow her small frame to rest with plenty of room to meander about her ivory paws came to a halt. Her sides rose and fell heavily with the struggle of bringing enough of the thinned air into her gasping lungs from the exhaustion of the climb. Pink tongue panting between parted jowls the pair of mismatched eyes scanned over the scenery that lay sprawled out before her from her perch in the sky while a cloud of vapor constantly left her lips with each exhale. A sea of green spread out before her from the tops of trees beginning to bloom with their new sets of leaves to replace the ones lost in autumn, the forest broken up into sections by the crisscrossing waterways of rivers and creeks filled by the melted runoff from the very mountain she now stood upon. Well partially stood upon. There was still a long way to go before she even came near the top and today no such traveling was going to be made. If her body could barely handle the air at this elevation there was no way in hell she could handle the barely present air that must reside at the peak above.
Now that she was at a good height to scour the land her mind began to descend into its depths to mule over the plans for the future. Where would she go once she was fit for long distance traveling? Her den was back in the deep forest in that eerie phantom hollow, but there was no way she could survive the trek back. Not yet. A couple more weeks at least would need to pass before she could even think about returning. But what would she do once she did manage to make it back out that way? There was nothing out there for her but frozen ground and surely no food to keep herself fed on. No soul to corrupt, no pack to bring toppling down if she ever got that bored. Hm, decisions decision.
"Speech."
