Then suddenly her victim moved heavily, crashing downward. Her snapping, ripping jaws followed determinedly until the water swarmed in around her face and she was forced to pull her head up. It only took a second for her to assess what was happening, and witnessing that Drestig very much had the situation under control she ceased her attacks. Still, she stood over the monster, ready to once more tear into him should something go wrong. Slowly her tongue ran over her black lips, sloughing the blood and bile from her fur. Drestig's shout ricocheted within her head as her pack mate ended the ill turned life before her, and only blazing approval was held within her eyes.
The body spasmed and lurched, first fighting its fate before giving into it. Whatever pitiful black soul had inhabited the body slipped away, a dark energy that the blonde woman could almost feel departing. The body was given unto the current, to do with it what it would, but Anneliese would touch it no more. The battle having been won, any further tampering would be desecration in her eyes.
Instead, she stepped closer to Drestig, carefully monitoring his reaction to the life he'd just taken. How long would that righteous anger last? She worried that it would burn out quickly, and he would once more fall victim to his own emotions. If they weren't home, they weren't safe, and Anneliese would make sure that all three of them returned unharmed. Motion occurred beside her, and she looked to Jessie in time to see the harsh glare delivered unto her. Immune to the woman's attitude given the occurrences of the night before, Anneliese pointedly stared back before once more settling her gaze upon Drestig, waiting for his lead.
