Phyrrus Nereus Monodora
@Anthem Sheeee's Back!

Phyrrus' nimble paws stepped through the foliage, the green leaves brushing at her hocks. She loved the summer. She loved its temperature, its beauty and of course- the privilege to go swimming. In fact, she had come out walking to test the water. She got a brief preview of directions from Bear- he seemed so well traveled. It had been a while since the silvery siren had a thing, she forgot how fun it was to flirt. She wasn't an expert, but Bear seemed to be falling head over heels for it. She wondered if he would get bored with her, I mean she was twice his age- but she still acted young right? The woman snorted and tried to focus on something else.

The lake slowly became visible between the trees, its glimmering surface catching her eyes. She took a few lengthy strides forward, ignoring the scent of a pack. It was her time to relax, she would trespass... politely. Her paws were submerged first, the water lapping at the silvery fur in cold waves. Phyrrus scrunched her nose up as if she was smelling something foul. "Cold, but do-able." Her thoughts deemed the water audibly. The lake most likely held every species of fish in the Lore and her plans were to dine on each one. In a arch-like motion, she leapt into the pond. Her goal was to scare the scaly creatures to a more shallow part of the lake. Phy paddled on awkwardly, completely submerged in the depths. She had never been a skilled swimmer. It was the struggle of where to move her paws and what to do with her back legs- she looked like an upside-down turtle.

OOC TEXT

He was on patrol which wasn't unusual for him. After all he had he to make sure that he kept up his role of a Guardian. Walking the trails that he had memorized he wondered what his brother and sister were doing. Even though he was ecstatic to see them all three of them had changed. So he found that even though he wanted to be with them like in their younger days he found himself holding back a little. How much had they changed? Would they be able to find the balance that they once had or would they flounder as they tried to get it back. It was unsettling. So walking along he wondered if he should be asking them to come along with him on patrols and hunts more.

Pausing he glanced at the mountain that loomed above their territory. He looked at its form and had the sudden urge to climb it. Without him realizing it he moved in its direction. Then he shook his head with a smile and continued his patrol, he could climb when he was done but first he had to finish what he had started. The sound of water splashing brought his head up as he paused. Speeding up he caught sight of the lake and then the wolf that was swimming in it or at least trying.

He didn't recognize the other at first and that put him on gaurd as he stalked forward hackles raising. The scent hit him then and he froze as he realized that it was Phyrrus. What was she doing in their territory? Other than taking a dip in their lake that is. He watched her uncertain. They had aligned themselves with the Oak Tree Bend wolves so he wasn't sure if he should make her leave. But she was also his friend, yet the leaders he followed were his friends as well. He was stuck. Growling under his breath Anthem walked into the lake letting out a gruff bark to make her aware of his presence. He hadn't decided yet what he was going to do but first he was going to get her out of the water were she seemed to be having trouble.

She held her breath for as long as she could, paddling into the depths. For only seconds, she opened her eyes and could see the flashes of silver in the murky water. An excited yelp escaped her maw, allowing gallons of water pile into it. Oh no! Big mistake. She flailed around inching to the surface, gasping for air and coughing. She practically swallowed half the lake, but, the turtle was determined. Just before Phyrrus was about to take another dive, a coarse chuff registered. Curious to find her summoner, the woman's head turned to see an old friend. "Anthem! How goes it?" She called out to him, staying afloat in the lake. Something told her that he wasn't too pleased to see her in the middle of the lake. He wanted her out of the water and onto the land. "Aww, come on! I was just about to get one!" She laughed and swam back to shore.

Once her paws could touch, she scrambled to a standing position. Facing the swarthy man with a bright smile. How long had it been since she had seen him? He was the first to meet her in the Lore, the first to show her the ropes. She wished they could see each other more often, but he belonged to his own pack now. With the recent births in both families, things had been especially busy at the den. The Band along with the Cove's members were tightly knitted to the core of their territories. She hoped the two packs were on good terms, she would make it a point to visit him more often.

As he waded into the lake water he watched as Phyrrus became distracted by something and then she was swallowing water and sputtering. Moving faster he tried to get to her so that she wouldn't drown as concern etched itself on his face. If she wasn't able to swim that well then she should of brought someone with her. She seemed to be about to dive under again when she heard him and gave him a warm greeting. He didn't respond until he had ushered her back were they could at least stand without him having to worry about her some more.

He was starting to feel a little snappish but when she turned to him with a bright smile all he could do was sigh and shake his head with a small smile. I've doing pretty good but could you tell me why you are in the Cove's borders? He asked tone light though there was a slight edge to it. He was supposed to chase those that came within out unless they had permission and from the way she had been swimming into their lake he was pretty sure she didn't have anything solid. But he had decided that Phyrrus wasn't a threat even if she had disregard the borders he was just going to have to make sure she knew not to do it again. Though she should know better.

Also i'm pretty sure the only thing you were about to get was another mouthful of water. He teased trying to keep the mood on a lighter note. The thought of Vespertio or Namid coming across them was putting some tension in his shoulders though as he kept his blue gaze on Phyrrus.
