She snorted at his quip about the work being back-breaking, but her attention remained solely on the strewn mass of... whatever it was. She wasn't quite as keen to suss out what it was where he had, but to her it was pretty much the same thing as what was in most caches – food. Food that had been buried presumably for someone to come back for, at least in this case to give a pair of yearlings something to gnaw on to tide them over until something a bit more prime came along. Or alternatively, as Aleksei decided, it was to play with too. Her face scrunched up for a moment as she considered this prospect, as if she wasn't really thrilled with it. But on the inside, it was a much different story that she found could not avoid if she had tried.
Her body was still as he grasped a particularly fleshy portion of the venison, his body already contorting into a typical gesture of play. Her head raised and turned ever so slightly as her considerations drew out... and like a snake she lunged for another hunk of the quarry and gave it a sharp pull back. It gave a little, but didn't separate so easily. Even for some aged meat far from cured in any traditional sense, it was surprisingly tough between her jaws. With her tail now into action and swinging wildly behind her, she shook her half so hard that her body almost dared to follow suit.
Needless to say, the yearling Ostrega was totally game with this prospect.
