Sven Archer
@Niles @Ravenna
not sure how you want to do this so i left sven's attempt pretty vague P:

A swiftly as Sven accepted what he had deducted to be an invitation from this other boy, the darkling child retracted it, discarding his playful bow to stand erect. Confusion was scrawled clearly upon the paler prince's face, and he slowly pulled out of the stance himself. The stranger turned to look at his companion, speaking again in a way that could not be comprehended by Sven. The sneer upon his face was evidence enough, however, about what was being discussed. The ghostly youth suddenly felt gravely misplaced, and the anticipated rejection burned his throat.

Ravenna's growl pulled the boy's gaze away from her brother, and while the sound only increased the intensity of the heat creeping up his spine, her stance offered him hope of relief. Still, overall, he was unsure of in what tone exactly he was being challenged. It occurred to him that perhaps he should've avoided these two from the start, but now that they had been engaged, the Archer heir would not back down from any of their challenges, whether they be playful or not. Returning her growl with a daring chuff, he sunk into a low crouch, bracing himself for whatever she might throw his way. His tail whipped behind him as he strove to hide his uncertainty from his eyes.

He bounded forward with moderate momentum, unwilling to plow her over but still aiming to bowl into her. It was akin to the same measured caution he used with his mother, though nowhere near as tender. The boy wasn't all so sure he would feel any qualms about hurting this other cub, but knew that it would be unwise to do so, especially with her companion present. He could take her on his own, he was sure of that, but two on one might be a little more difficult. Regardless of the contact made, he would attempt to topple and stand over her, instinct telling him that that was the way to assert himself and solve whatever uncertainties might exist between himself and these strangers.

Ravenna Archer-Lyall
oh lort. so small, but there you have it.

She was one hundred percent ready for him. The moment he came bounding into her direction, she came forward too, puppy bodies mashing into one another as she tried to push her down. She twists, lifting up so that she could try to paw at his shoulder, using her mouth to nip at his scruff and knock him sideways. He, like Niles, was a pretty large pup though Ravenna herself was no 'push over' so to speak. It felt odd playing with this pup, as though his intentions were not entirely to have fun with her, but to beat her up. She feared nothing, for was quite a confidant little pup and knew that if push came to shove, no one would get away with doing harm to a Princess of Willow Ridge.

SVEN ARCHER
& the night is closing in

The conflict was continuing to prove itself awkward and foreign to the boy, who had never been able to experience anything like this before. He had entered the fray with the idea that perhaps this would be similar to batting with Piety or pouncing @Skoll's tail, but the like-sized body that wound around him with thickly furred paws and tiny biting teeth was nothing like either of his only two playmates. Torn between mimicking her movements and acting as he had learned to, the boy attempted to nip at her nape too. Yet his bites were not tempered as they should have been, for they had never needed to be with the adults. Sven could not know that he was biting her with more force than she was, and certainly wouldn't know that he might be hurting her unless she spoke up.

Ravenna Archer-Lyall
Their playing did not last for too long, as it turned out. With their scuffling, the other boy who had never learned to play with those his own age, was much too aggressive. Mean, hateful, in the eyes of Ravenna, as his little needle-like teeth poked into the flesh of her scruff. She jerks, a sharp bark echoing from her mug. "Ow, that really hurt!" She growls, pushing with all her might to knock the other pup down and away from her. "Whats a matter with you - why would you hurt your own FAMILY?" She scoffs, appalled at the other pup's actions. With narrowed silvery-blue eyes she snorts at the other pup, fighting away any pain she felt in her neck from his attack. Wrestling and play fighting was one thing, but this was not fun. Turning away she motions towards her brother, Niles, and pads off away from Sven with no intention of returning for another round of his abuse.

Niles Archer Lyall
x( Sorry I dropped the ball on this... Niles help wrap up too? Please tell me if I need to change anything.

Niles' little wordless suggestion of leaving the ghost white boy where they had found him, Ravenna decided to call the shots. Her growl immediately offered an invitation for a tussle. The dark boy's mug wrinkled; well, if anything, it was better that his sister test him... so long as she didn't get hurt. Niles' eyes shot to Sven with something of an overly smug smirk, wondering if he was still game. If not, the Archer-Lyall was going to have a ball with teasing the other cub for being 'scared of a girl.'

The future paladin would find his hopes of teasing smashed as Sven returned the sentiment to Ravenna, eager for a rough-and-tumble. For good measure, Niles took a step back, knowing all too well just how rowdy his tomboy of a sibling could get. Their bodies clashed, a blurred mix of white and off-white and a show of pointy puppy teeth. The best Ravenna's brother could do was raise his hackles and encourage her with a loud bark or two.

It seemed to work, but then, there came the signal that the prince had been waiting for: "Ow, that really hurt!" Niles chest puffed up and he immediately moved to give the other cub a second push off of his litter mate. The growl that came from him then was no longer just wary but undoubtedly spiteful. His eyes narrowed as he prodded his sister with a paw, nudging her as to get her to leave the scene without another word. They had already passed their judgement on the rogue boy and they clearly wanted nothing to do with him, blood-relative or not.

At the corner of his eye Ravenna gestured to him and, even though he continued to glare at the other Archer, he flashed his teeth before following after the princess. No one hurt his sisters. That was that.

SVEN ARCHER
& the night is closing in

The moment her sharp exclamation assaulted his tiny ears the boy was shocked into relinquishing his grip. Not a second later, her pointed paws were shoved harshly against him and he tumbled backwards without composure. Confusion was rampant across his body language, and as he turned to see what her problem was, her words were already raining down upon him. Hurt his family?

"But I--" he attempted, but she was already storming off and his brain was not able to keep up with this sudden change of pace. Things had already been so oddly tense, and now this? What had he done wrong? Had he really hurt her? He hadn't meant to!

Frantic silvering eyes jumped between the two of them as they turned their backs on him, leaving him behind without a word further as though he were nothing. As they disappeared amongst the willow's many tendrils, Sven had to clench his fangs together hard to keep the burning moisture within his eyes from spilling over. That wasn't fair, his mind hissed, the only thing it could actually ascertain from what had just transpired. They didn't even give him a chance.
