Frog Chirp Creek no rest for the weary

Leaving the borders of Grizzly Hollow seemed to be a rare occasion these days.  Even before the arrival of the three puppies, the man always seemed to be wrapped up in pack duties.  If he wasn’t taking care of strengthening the borders, he was working on caching supplies in his medical den.  If he wasn’t in the medical den, then Veho was doing his best to teach the yearlings or ensure the other members of his pack were satisfied, working for the roles they desired.  And when he wasn’t wrapped up in any of these alpha roles, then he was being a father.  He had no complaints about spending time with his children, not a one, but it left the man with little time to sleep, let alone get away.

Thankfully, the others had agreed to keep an eye on the troublesome trio, and allow the silver-eyed medic a few hours to himself.

He had little plans, truth be told, other than stretch his legs.  Perhaps he would have a quick hunt, find himself a little snack, and bed down for a short, quiet, uninterrupted nap.  All of these things seemed utterly brilliant, and Veho was quite ready to get started when his plans were thrown off kilter by a buzz, and a splat.  Veho hissed as he shook his head, paw coming up to his face as he whined.

“Damnit,” he grunted, feeling the uncharacteristic curse was quite appropriate for the moment.
