Celandine Argyris

Endless. It was the ongoing theme on the record that was her life, playing over and over again, until she could no longer stand the music. The fae had been travelling aimlessly for weeks, searching for a scent, a whisper of information, anything that could lead her to the silver cub, but without a lead, she found herself growing weary. The very type that settles into your bones, and weighs on your soul. It was exhausting. Nobody knew where the near-yearling was, or if she had even gone with Erebos. It was like some special brand of karma, reserved just for her had finally hit it's mark.

There were very few certainties anymore. Aside from the apparent disbanding of Silent Moon Plateau, and.. and.. The blur of motion that made up her pale paws ceased. Suddenly, and overwhelmingly, she received an onslaught of memories so vivid, that the woman was forced to the ground. Hard, unforgiving soil cradled her, as the choked sobs began erupting from her throat. They came slowly at first, until even the birdsong was drowned out entirely. She'd been so busy, for so long. Her mind filled with little else than finding what she was looking for, but now, with the impossibility of it all clouding over her like rain in the spring, and the time to grieve, she did just that.

Celandine wondered briefly if @Takis knew, or @Hypatia. It was so hard to process the fact that he no longer walked the Earth, with his tail flying high over his back like a flag at full mast. She was left to wonder how it happened, if he was in pain, or if it was quick. Did he even know that she loved him? She wished she would have told him, or thanked him for being who he was. @Phineas had given her so much more than she had ever let him know, and now it was too little to late.

Regardless of how hard she tried, the pale yearling couldn't remember their last exchange. Had they fought? Or simply talked? Either way, it would never be enough. There was still so much to be said, so much for her to learn. It was a prime example of just how much she had taken him for granted; Assuming he would always be there. Another round of sobs shook her entire being to the core. "D-dad.." Sniffling, she continued to the heavens, or the gods, or his spirit, or anything that wanted to listen. "Y-you ca-nt be g-gone. I d-don't kno-ow what t-to d-do. I c-can't find them. An-ny of them." And then a plea left her lips, "I st-still nee-d y-ou." He had always been there. Even when she thought she didn't need him, somewhere in her subconscious, she took comfort in knowing that he was still there. What was life without her father?

When her grief finally stopped echoing through the trees, and all that remained was the empty vessel where her soul once lingered, Celandine stood. Sad, and broken, with an ache in her throat, she turned. The woman couldn't search forever, and she was so unbelievably tired. There was nothing left for her to do, but go back. She'd return to the mountain, and once more walk where he ruled, or head over, and leave for good. Letting her paws carry her wherever they might, the former heiress decided to leave her pathetic display of weakness behind, locking it safely away in the dark corners of her mind. She'd never be that weak again.

hope it was alright to drop by

Icicle moved slowly through the thick, overgrown trails, he had come out this way to get away from the depressing atmosphere of the Cor Assun for a little while. The ghostly pale wolf kept returning to that grisly scene for one reason alone, he felt safe there. A small, dead hare hung from the wolf’s salmon pink lips, swaying gently with each careful step the albino took. It had been a tough but he had succeeded in ambushing the piace of prey and finishing it off quickly, and planning to have a decent meal later with his ears suddenly.

The wolf froze where he stood as a choking sob emitted from deeper within the trees. Icicle paused for a moment, unsure if he should head toward it, or continue on his own way. No, only a heartless wolf would just disregard it. All thoughts of having a quiet meal were tossed aside for the moment as the large, skeletal like wraith turned his light pink gaze toward the direction of the sound and set off after it.

After a few moments of traversing the entangling paths of the forest, pausing on occasion in order to dislodge a particular clingy branch from his fur, Icicle found himself facing a slightly smaller wolf, her fur, he observed, was a light mix of grey and white, with small and faint swirls of brown mixed into it. Clearly, he could tell, that she was distressed about something. Pink eyes drifted down toward the hare he had sat down upon arriving on the scene and Icicle came to a decision, he could always try and catch another later on. He picked it up and stepped out of the bushes slowly, the movement causing the familiar ache in his joints as a soft grunt escaped and he sat the hare down on the trail before quietly calling out, “Here.” his voice, though naturally higher in pitch then it should have been for one of his size came out even softer, as he didn’t want to startle the other wolf, and by now Icicle knew that his colorless, almost supernatural skeletal like appearance usually caused fear to be the first reaction to him.

Celandine Argyris

The man's voice startled her as it slashed through the post-mourning silence Celandine had been content to surrounded herself with. She felt her heart fall into her stomach, as she wondered how much of her previous display he had caught. Pale ears moved like satellites in orbit, attempting to pinpoint his location, while amber eyes narrowed. Who was he, and what could he possibly want? Her first thoughts were of the man that had chased her from the ridge, had he followed her so far? This voice was different though, smooth where the Willow stranger's was rough. It was a slight comfort to know that they were were two different entities altogether.

Pale paws moved towards his voice, the unfamiliar scent of him infiltrating her olfactory system. She should have left, turned tail to run in the other direction, and avoid whatever pity party the stranger was likely about to throw for her, but Celandine was nothing if not curious. Cursing herself once more, the yearling continued searching for him.

When he finally came into view, she found his appearance to be rather unique. His sides seemed sunken in, as though the canvas of his skin was strung too tightly over every bone. She wondered if she had looked that thin just a few months prior, but shuddered at the thought.  His irises were even odder, their pinky tones more akin to someone's tongue than their eyes. He certainly was interesting to look at, but still much less intimidating then the last wolf she'd had the pleasure of running into.

It wasn't until after she had already sized the male up that she noticed the hare, but when she did, her senses locked in on it. She was hungry. "Good evening." She nodded, before returning her crown to it's previous position of confidence. Celandine would be a queen, after all.

Icicle stood tensely as the younger wolf searched around for him, it would be better both of them if he didn't move, allowing her instead to find the large wraith waiting in place. His tail swayed gently behind him as she seemed to be taking in his features, a reaction Icicle was used by now. He stood, patiently, while she sized him up. At least she doesn't seem sacred.. When she spoke, a sign that she wasn’t afraid, icicle’s muscles relaxed as he nodded. A wolf who greeted him in this type of fashion, it seemed would be less likely to try and chase him off or run away in fear, Something Icicle had come to expect to his disgusting appearance.

“Good evening.” he responded simply. The pale wolf had no plans to give more then he received in the way of socialization, he was offering her a meal, but nothing else, he wasn’t going to risk putting himself out there anymore then necessary, but at the same time….he wanted to say more, to try and connect with other wolves on a deeper level. But..the question always came back to him...was it worth it? Was it worth giving yourself away to someone else? To risk exposure and hurt for the bonds created by a pack? Having acted on an impulse weeks ago after bumping into @Amaryllis he had sought out her pack and tried to join. History though, had ended up repeating it self that day.

Icicle’s pink gaze eyed the female carefully as he nudged the hare forward “Here, go ahead and eat, you’ll need it.” The movement was devoid of his previous cation, being under the trees for so many weeks, the sun burn that had plagued him was nicely healed and no longer sent waves of agony down the colorless wolf’s neck.

Celandine Argyris

Celandine appreciated the odd-looking man's simple greeting. She wasn't in the mood for conversation-not that she would say she was ever truly in the mood to chat-but after the draining experience that was mourning, she felt too hollow to add much. An insatiably curious creature, she found her gaze straying once more to catch the odd color of his eyes, before tracing along his body. What was he, exactly? He was a wolf by scent, and sound, but his appearance still perplexed her. A demon maybe? Not that she believed in such things. A smile graced her maw at the thought. Maybe he came to drag her to hell to be with her mother dearest. At least, that's where she assumed Borlla was.

She did not try to excuse his offer away with any 'Oh no, I simply couldn't because..'s. He offered, and she accepted. Simple enough. The woman needed something to replace that familiar hollowness inside of her, and what better way then a freshly-caught meal? "Thank you." Celandine offered the stranger a light nod as he pushed the big-eared creature towards him, taking it's limp body between her teeth, and backing up a few steps. Wasting no time, the woman began plucking the fur away from it's cooling skin. "I'm Celandine Argryris." It felt so strange to leave the titles from her name, as though they'd never been there. "And whom do I have the pleasure of addressing?"
