He had gone North. The question was why? He couldn't see anything of interest that came with going this direction but he felt like out of all the directions this was the one that he traveled the least. Maybe it was the sense that he could have missed something. Some hint of adventure or possibly an encounter that he could tell his family when he returned to see how they were doing. After-all it had been the wonder and the hint of adventure that had lay beyond familiar borders that had drawn him this far from home. Latif gazed at his surroundings as he walked head low. The misty forest had changed, the air felt different here somehow. Ears twitched this way and that as he tried to see if there was another predator nearby that had caused it. The birds were still singing though so he guessed not.
Padding along he continued on his journey. Nothing in this area had caught his interest but that didn't stop him from humming and watching for something to catch his interest. Maybe there would be something for him to hunt he hadn't eaten yet and the sun was high in the sky. His stomach gurgled at the thought of something to eat. A grimace slid across his face. That was one of the side-effects of travelling. You had no idea where the good hunting spots were in the area. If he was lucky he would find a local that would be able to give him some advice on the area and where he should look. Guess that meant that his new goal was to find someone to talk to or catch something. Whichever came first.
Latif considered if he should let out a howl to see if there was anyone in the area but he pushed that thought away. If he did that then whatever prey was in the area might scatter. If he wasn't lucky today though he would just have to try again tomorrow. Latif didn't consider going to sleep hungry to be the worst thing.
