You've discovered an orchard of apples! The ones on the ground have fermented and you start to feel a little tipsy!
Drift had snuck off again, not to leave for good, but merely to get some air and peace. The kids were growing at an alarming rate and already they towered over him. Seeing yet another litter of siblings outgrow both himself and his sister he had to wonder just what had led to their own meager stature. It couldn't have been their mother, since Darrah lacked none of the height or bulk that Drift did, and he couldn't shake that look he sometimes got that made him terribly self-conscious about his pale coat. Was he really a Tainn at all?
Shaking his head with a snort, he was sure that Naira would have mentioned something if she thought so. That woman seemed to lack a brain-mouth filter in a way that was refreshing. He had finally come clean about losing Reiko and while he could see she was upset, it was only fleeting, passed off with a shrug. Well you got him back didn't you? It wasn't much of a response but it lifted the weight off his shoulders all the same. He had breathed a heavy sigh of relief and taken his leave.
He was drawn from his thoughts by a tangy scent that cut through the light dusting of snow. Brows drew down as he nosed through the frosty coating to uncover some fruit just laying on the ground. Without a second throught, jaws parted to pick up the small apple, crunching away happily as he moved onto the next. Hey these were good!. He continued to root through the snow like a pig seeking roots until his stomach gave an unhappy rumble. Suddenly lifting his head he was overcome with dizziness and easily fell back into a sit.
Whu...whut was going on here? It felt like the earth was roiling under his rump. "Why won't it stoooop?" he groaned as he squeezed his eyes tightly shut.
