@Kara, anybody else ok too though!
RE: The stars are unusually bright tonight. Maybe because it's also unusually cold.. brr.

Mako felt like he'd slept for centuries, but it was still dark all around him as he opened his eyes. He wasn't even sure what had woken him at first, and he tried with little success to fall back asleep. Until he realized it was nature's call and he'd never fall asleep if he tried to hold it all the rest of the long night. Mako managed to extract himself from the dogpile his little family had made for warmth, careful to not step on any paws or noses on his way out of the small cave.

Fuck it was cold out here! Mako's teeth were chattering so hard he thought they might vibrate straight out of his skull. The boy gingerly picked his way down the little goat track. His breath instantly fogged before him in a mist, and he danced from paw to paw over the snow and rocks so that his toes didn't have to stay in contact with the ground for longer than necessary. He only tripped once; he was finally getting the hang of climbing up and down this oversized rock.

Once on flat ground he put his snout to the ground, snuffing about for the appropriate spot. His nose lead him to a rather well-used rock. He circled around, sniffing at all the scents left behind by his packmates. The most recent of which was that big male with the ugly mug. The shark smirked, turning himself abreast with the rock as he gallantly lifted his leg. With great gusto he covered the stone with his own eau de toilette, it so cold out he was surprised it didn't freeze before it hit the ground. He admired his handiwork with an appreciative nose. This was his rock now, at least for the night.

Odin Archer

The sound of movement woke the boy, and as he watched the new one make his way into the night he had to wonder just what he was up to. With a nudge to his sister to warn her he was leaving, Odin painstakingly stepped between the sprawled out forms of adults and towards the entrance of the den. He paused for a moment, taking everything in that was laid out before him. Out here in the starlight, the night seemed brighter than it did in the den and with a half moon hanging overhead the snow reflected what light was offered like an ethereal blanket of glistening lights.

The young Archer was mindful of his step as he followed after the new recruit, knowing the path down to the lowlands was susceptible to hiding patches of ice under freshly fallen snow. As he reached level ground he rounded the rock and his nose wrinkled. While he may have missed the act, he could certainly detect the evidence of it even in this low light and it made something deep within him stir. Nonchalantly, he sauntered to the other side of the stone and cocked his own leg in turn, as though that had been the only reason for his late night wander. Once he was done, he turned to face the open lands beyond the monadnock, wondering just how much he could get away with before his parents woke.

Mako Coho
Now that he was up and awake, it wasn't like he could just go back to sleep. The night was young, the moon was high, and the cold bite in the air and the rush of doing something slightly uncouth got his blood flowing. His amber eyes glittered in the pale blue light as set off, going for a brisk jaunt around the monadnock. There wasn't much going on at this time of night, and he didn't run into anyone else. Not until he circled back to where he began. A dark shape stood over his stone, and Mako lifted his nose to the air to find not only his own fresh scent, but someone else's recent deposit. His eyes narrowed on that other kid, Odin.

Mako shrugged his shoulders, ruffling up his wiry coat like a peacock fanning its tail. Putting some swagger in his step, Mako sidled up to Odin and brushed past the boy, looking back over his shoulder with a cocky smirk. Setting his sights back ahead, the shark strolled towards an even greater target: A scrubby looking pine tree, half bent-over by the weight of ice and snow. He stopped beside it and proudly lifted one leg, higher and higher, his other back leg on the tip of its toes. But oh no, he would not stop there, this was no ordinary pee. He reached further, stretching until his other back leg left the ground. This was the ultimate. The handstand pee.

Kára Archer
@Odin

The nudge to her side caused the girl to grumble in protest before shifting until she became comfortable again, a yawn on her lips. Kára was comfortable and almost completely back to sleep before she realized what was wrong with the picture. The side that had been prodded was now much colder than it should have been and the pup raised her head in alarm. Where did Odin think he was going without her in the middle of the night!? A simple prod wasn't enough and the boy knew it, the female Archer slept like a rock.

Creeping out into the ridiculously cold air she gave her fiery coat a shake as if this would help her adjust faster. Following Odin's paw prints much less carefully now that he had indicated the safe places to step she came upon....A literal pissing contest. Now, a proper lady would have scoffed at the boys and their antics but Kára was far from being a lady. Instead she saw the smirk upon Mako's face and then he...he...oh my god he stood on his two front legs to pee.

That.Was.So.Cool.

Now despite how much it would probably displease her brother, and despite it not making any sense to do so Kára giggled. And not in a cute way, in a, I'm becoming a teenager and discovering teenage boys and don't know what to do about it way. Embarrassed by the sound that had just come from her mouth the Archer cleared her throat as if nothing had happened, and glared at her brother. A silent warning that he should let what just happened go.
