Tucked away in the southern depths of Stonewatch the river bends, the edges starting to crumble away. Pebble beaches make up the majority of the banks; however, opposite them the forest drops suddenly into the river, making it a dangerous place for those not paying attention. Unless there’s been a heavy rainfall the river is slow moving and cuts lazily through the forest. Crossing is easy but does not come without a few wet paws. It is an excellent water source for both prey and predator, and is abundant with fish during the warmer seasons.

After the informal pack meeting the shadow began to grow curious about their new neighbours. It seemed as though their suspicions had right once they realized that the group that settled south of them hadn’t moved in quite some time. Greer recalled his strange encounter with the overly defensive wolves—they had to be part of this Wild Rye Fields pack. Loners did not act that way unless they were protecting something, and they had clearly overstayed their welcome in the expanse. The silver spider and his sister were not pleased with their appearance—or their diplomacy. Why had it taken them so long to introduce themselves, especially when they had been cowering so close to Whitestone territory?

He skirted their territory, careful not to tread too close. They were already familiar with his face and now that they knew the Whitestone scent they would put two and two together.

Heading west the shadow entered the timbers, his streamline body weaving effortlessly through the trees. He was looking for something—anything—to bring back to @Craw and @Morganna. Initially the move to the lowlands was supposed to be temporary. Leaving with them had been the perfect way to escape the willows, but it was not permanent. Once they had settled he had planned to leave—perhaps join Kyna in the Bend—but here he was, hopelessly devoted. Perhaps it was because both the spider and his sister saw potential in him and encouraged him. Perhaps it was because his pursuit of the scout role allowed him to stretch his legs (which meant he was able to see @Kyna more). Whatever the reason, it did not matter. For once he felt as though he was home. It was a strange, incredibly frustrating feeling, and he was struggling to adapt. But he was adapting… sort of.

As his thoughts plagued him the soil beneath his toes turned to rock—lots and lots of tiny, round rocks. His forehead tightened as his brows met, a scowl forming across his dark maw. He paused, suddenly feeling incredibly vulnerable as the security of the forest stood behind him. However, before him, a river cut through the forest, dividing north from south. Surely there was a way across…
