He wondered if he shouldn't have said anything because the look Addy got in her eyes when she raised her chin cause his tail to hang limply between his legs. If that Deron guy had ignored him then what would he do when Adeltra just strolled right over, getting all up in his face? "Aaaaaddy." Romanov whined softly with a pleading look. The should just let this guy be till tomorrow or another day. He'd let her have the prarie dog and the best sleeping spot next to mom and dad if she would leave that man alone! His gaze focused onto the older male, curious as to what he'd do. Romanov certainly wasn't much mentioning he was still a growing child but if that man wanted to be mean to his sister too he'd do something about it alright! Like maybe tackle him or something. Adeltra was already talking it out with him and every ounce of the Archer boy hoped that'd be enough to remove the grump mood from the older male. Roman nervously shifted his weight from paw to paw. Oh, the tension was too much! Without much more thought he rushed forward to be behind his sister in case anything went wrong. They had to stick together! Especially now with this grump to handle. |
"It's not very respectable if you just ignore us without telling us why,"
Why did this kid think he cared? Couldn't she see he was just trying to doze off for a bit? He couldn't ignore her either because he already had one eye opened looking at her. She would know damn well that he was awake now. That he had even acknowledged her presence. Ugh. Before he could answer the other kid, the one with the weird white patch over his eye had come up behind his sister looking uncomfortable. Good. At least something but all of this had gotten to the boy.
"'M tired. A long trip here." And he left it at that because he wasn't under obligation to share everything with these two children. Maybe if it had been an alpha in his face he would have been more talkative but if it was an alpha he wouldn't be so nonchalantly ignoring them.
Being where she was it was impossible for the newcomer to ignore her and she knew that. Her muddy blue gaze locked onto the single eye that blinked open, revealing a bright yellow eye. She gave her tail a quicker wag behind her small frame. "'M tired. A long trip here." he gave reluctantly, but that was all she wanted because it was progress. She’d already chalked a lot of his behavior up to being tired, but she couldn’t shake the feeling that he simply didn’t like them and to her that wouldn’t do. Maybe they wouldn’t be able to get to him that day, but in the future she was sure she could get him to butter up to the Archer children. She sat up, ducking her head as she nearly bonked her brother’s muzzle with the back of her skull. “Oh, okay! Well, can we getcha something to eat from one of the places that the adults get the food? I always sleep better with a full tummy!”she offered honestly. If they could get him fat and happy maybe he’d like them quicker and stop being such a rude butt.
Addy must have been magical. She had managed to get the rude male to talk something other than rude nonsense. It made Rom's eyes widen and his ears briefly tip back. The Archer boy had to wonder if he would ever understand how she managed to do what she did.
He was content with the reason and was ready to bound off but it seemed Adeltra had something else in mind. A brow raised and for a brief moment, he wondered if they were allowed to do that. Just digging around in the food piles for a rude guy they had just met. Surely if he knew their Mama it wouldn't wind them in trouble but the whole idea still felt strange. "I, uh..uh.." He looked over at the prairie dog he had left behind before his gaze drifted back to his sister. He didn't say much more before he was awkwardly jogging over to the partially dirty chew toy. It was certainly still edible just a bit dirty was all. Surely the grump wouldn't mind too much.
Roman scooped it up in his jaws then toddled back to his sister and the grown man being a puddle on the ground. He set it down close to the man's face before jumping back just slightly in case he decided to become super grump again. With that he quickly shoved his sister, ushering her to follow after him and leave the man alone.
