After visiting the Draw and venturing through Bramble Falls, Reiko was interested in furthering his jaunt northward. In the very least he wanted to be able to see the world around him before making any decision. By his stopping by the Draw he hoped to explain to his sister and father that he was here, in the Lore, but that he didn't want to hope into a pack so soon. There was so much he wanted to learn and see, pack life would restrict him in doing this and for good reason. It wasn't safe for anyone to venture out to the far locations for a long time. As a loner, he only had to rely on himself. Taking Naira to her birth pack had shown him how much more there was for him.

Ghastly Woods, while quite intimidating from the outside had nothing against what it felt like on the inside. Reiko had nothing to fear going into this abysmal place but it was clear that it wasn't a very welcoming place. There were thin, claw-like branches that tried to grasp at the tips of his fur. There were dark shadows that seemed to play tricks and he watched them cautiously, but he dare not say he was afraid. He dare not even think it. Fear wasn't something he was familiar with and he wasn't about to associate with it now.
