Did she think it was safe? The real question should have been did she care if it was safe. All she offered was a shrug with a wry smirk and a chuckle. "Even if it ain't there's two o' us, and cats tend ter stick to 'emselves. I like those odds, don' you?" A brow arched as she looked back over her shoulder to her companion wondering how the younger wolf might take it. Younger. Pah she didn't feel so old yet, though truthfully she was getting there, she could almost cringe just thinking about it.
But there was no time to waste as the remains of the deer came into view. The scent of the cat was stronger here, but she cut through the undergrowth with ease none the less. It had been too long since she had gotten herself into a decent fight and she didn't want to find herself rusty when she needed it most.
