Sylva Riverflow

She moved slowly, pushing aside the thick brush with her snout, hazel colored eyes glancing down slowly as the medic pulled herself from the brush, her ebony fur entangled with twigs and debris as she pried herself from what had been a makeshift nest. The young wolf had settled down within the ravine for an uncomfortable night of rest. Giving her fur a shake in a half hearted attempt to clear it, Sylva glanced around, thinner than she had been in quite awhile, she stood on guard, far too close to the Notch’s boundaries for her liking, but she had little choice in the matter.

Sylva’s search for her daughter was leading her east, toward the massive mountain and maybe beyond, a direction she hadn’t been in yet. The safest way, the only way she knew of, rested with hugging the river that fed through the Palisade, a tactic that she had used before, one that had even brought her here, to the region that had been her home for the past...She wasn’t sure how long it had been, well over a year, that she was sure of.

The small wolf made a trek down the inclined hill, pausing when she was at the swift flowing river’s edge. A gasp escaped when she looked at her reflection, for just a moment, she thought she saw her. A sad sigh followed as Sylva shook her head, she’d find Hawthorne, one day, she knew she would, if she didn’t...Sylva didn’t want to think about it. First Hawthorne, and then Zilas, dammit the she wolf was going to get her mate and child together, even if it killed her in the end, she just wanted them to be happy. She paused for a moment, before plunging her snout into the cold, cool water to drink, her ears perking as she listened to the river’s voice, something that had always guiding the girl since she had been young. The soft whispers of the current brought some comfort to the woman.
