Jessie Tainn

The mother was not aware of Adelayde's exit, her eyes focused on the last child they had to name. While a dull ache beat in her heart, she could feel it was only proper that her former mate be remembered in such a way. Despite how possessive Hotei had been, he only wanted to best for Jessie - that turned out to be a life with Drestig. Dark lips pursed together, finally raising to look into familiar amber orbs above her. The woman's heart jumped in her chest as the name was tested on her husband's tongue. It sounded right, there.

Drestig's touch was like a calming balm to a burn. The monochrome Queen inhaled sharply, glad that he was here with her. The silence was comfortable and Jessie felt like it was about time for her to drift off. The Avalon had something else to had, however, and the Tainn woman's ears twitched at what he proposed. Yes, how very fitting. She had not told another soul of Hotei's temperament problem, that did not quite really have to do with him and more with the other someone who occupied his body. It had been no one else's business - that Hotei had another personality hidden beneath that scarred face of his - and Jessie had protected his secret, even when it had meant tearing them apart. A small smirk formed on the Rye Queen's face, her words soft, "I think it's perfect." A tired sigh escaped Jessie's maw. Now, it was time for them to rest.
