turn your face towards the sun, let the shadows fall behind you
Treyah Tainn
Treyah wouldn't hold not visiting against her, things had been so crazy. She offered a strained smile when Leotie said it was wonderful news, honestly, she wasn't so sure herself. "Yeah well, a lot has happened." She supposed the best place to start was right after their last meeting. "After I saw you last ma went missing, then Lacey went vanished too and Mae handed leadership to me. I found Lace down near the Lagoon, she'd had a run-in with a skunk but she ran off again shortly after. I expected Mae to want her spot back but she was... different, so I've been leading with Kerb for a long while now. We never found mum, but Reiko said she's fine, or was fine when he saw her last. Suka took off too." Meanwhile, while everyone else was off galavanting across the countryside the Tainn had continued on, doing her best to keep the fractured pack together.
"More recently though, dad went missing. I sent one of our subordinates out to look for him, he lost his trail in an avalanche up on the mountain. I'd really appreciate it if you could keep an eye out, but I know things are only gonna get crazier with puppies on the way. I just, I can't accept he's gone." Her smile began to falter, despite her best attempts to hold it together. "And-uh, Mae and Kerb had a pretty big fight at probably right about the time I got the news, she left... she's wandering around with some pretty nasty wounds. Kerb handed leadership over to Tennebrae, he's a good guy, terrible jokes but he's loyal. I just... I guess I expected more of him y'know?" Of course she would, hadn't Leotie said something similar to her before?
At least the future was looking a little brighter, right? "But-uh, yeah, the dad seems to want to stick around. He already has a son but things, I guess didn't work out? He's a healer, really nice guy. Tell you what though, its a bit rough being the only girl in the pack, y'know, besides Lana." She smiled a little shyly, it was hardly a whirlwind romance but that didn't mean the possibility of something coming from it was totally dashed.
