@SolasM for Tulip's wounds and state of mind. Please refer to her thread "A thousand years" for better idea of her weakened condition.

Tulip had ran into the @Vaken wolf earlier that day, but now it was late and the temperatures had further dropped. The cold was bitter and lonely. Her sore and aching body hurt even in a stationary position. Her hope was diminishing. Bad or even good news was nothing to her now for she....she had never felt so weak. Her wounds were mostly scabbed over now but some had formed into pockets of puss. Her ear still dangled in her face as if to mock her. Her body was sore and it hurt to breath, it hurt to move and to not move. The deep bite marks scattered across her body hurt immensely. At least for now though, on this dreary night, she had found a safe haven to rest in.

It was an old seemingly abandoned den with the stale comforting scent of a family that had ceased to exist in these parts. The smell of the strange wolves was welcomed for she could imagine it to be her den, her home. The Cove. Her Solas. Her @Moonshadow. She could pretend to be with them...one last time? Was this it?

The old oak created a den that kept her safe and unseen, her coat stunk of so many random things that the idea of a wolf being inside would hopefully escape one's mind. She was able to not worry here, yes, yes this was a good place...no one would find her. She could slip away here. Perhaps it was meant to be. A cold yet peaceful place. As the temperatures continued to drop Tulip did not expect to make it through the cold night and sighed, trying to set her mind at ease with thoughts of her family...her Solas. Surely his memory would keep her comfortable. No one would bother her here...Soft yellows slowly shut as her breathing quitted and she fell into a light painful sleep. The movements of her rising and falling chest stiff and sore.

Tulip has a speech impairment that causes her to talk with a severe lisp and has selective mutism. I will not be writing her words to reflect this (outside of going mute), but ask those who roleplay with her to understand it's implied.

OOC: Going with the assumption that she is still covering her scent up. Let me know if anything needs to be changed.

He didn't know what was causing him to travel this way. As far as he knew no packs were in the area and even if he had travelled through the area once before, he didn't feel bound to it for any reason. Maybe he just wanted to see something a little different before he joined one of the packs to the south or returned to the Cove. Maybe @Tulip would be there waiting for him and he would finally be able to relax. He could only hope but that same hope had been crushed beneath the paws of all the wolves he had talked to. If he went to the Cove and didn't find her would he even be able to keep looking or would it be too much for him to take?

Solas shook his head at the thought before freezing as the wind brought him the scents of the air. A chill raced down his spine as he inhaled sharply. Was he imagining things? A hesitant step forward as he inhaled again...There! It was faint, oh so faint, but it was still there. Tulip's sweet scent. He could have laughed with joy and if he were human he might have danced on the spot, but he couldn't celebrate. Not yet at least. The scent was clouded as if covered by something or so faded that it was almost gone. She had been here and even if she wasn't here he had a trail!

Whatever tiredness that had seeped into him from his travels faded as new hope sprang to life in his chest. Loping through the trees he weaved through the bushes and trees ignoring the way they pulled at his pelt tearing out strands of his winter fur. He couldn't lose this trail. Even if he had to travel through the night and into the next day. He was not going to lose it, but the wind had other ideas and it pulled her scent away from him as if teasing him with it and with a heavy dose of frustration and desperation he tossed his head back and let out a howl.

Tulip!

(Sorry if this wasn't the best <3 I loved reading his post this is already supa cute)

What awoken her from her sleep was more than confusing, as if her dream had come through to reality. It had to have been a dream. There was no way. Yet still the female stared outside of the den with curiosity and temptation. Should she? Or should she not? It had to have been a trick of the wind, or worse her mind. Her heart couldn't bare these games. Her body couldn't take wondering about to find him...and yet if she called for him...she was no longer hidden. Had it really been him? Or her worst nightmares? Did they know her name now? Was she no longer Nulla to them? At least within their tricks and games.

She lifted her head a little to draw in a deep breath expecting Grevious's musk to hit her nose...but no. Her heart fluttered. Was it possible? "Olas" she called out weakly. Slowly she lifted herself up from the ground, back end first since it was the least damaged and sore at the moment. She looked awkward trying to lift her stiff ice cold body. The small wolf made it a few steps and softly collapsed at the mouth of the den with a huff. Lemon eyes peered out into the darkness, the moonlight illuminating her pelt. Where was he? Did she really hear him? Sure did smell like him. More bravely now she called out, deciding it was all worth the risk. "OLAS?!"

Impatiently she waited full of nerves and anxiety. The wind made her shiver violently, her thin body not nearly suited for the bitter winter to come.

OOC: No that was perfect. <3

He wasn't expecting to get a response of any kind from the darkness around him and once more he froze, heart beating wildly in his chest. Straining his ears he prayed that he wasn't imaging this, that this wasn't some dream that he would wake up from like so many before. Yet, this felt too real. The wind pulling at his fur the smells that hung in the air and the ground beneath his paws. It felt far too real than any dream that he had ever had.

OLAS?!

A sound escaped him one that he couldn't place. Was he choking or laughing? He didn't know and honestly didn't care. He had heard her. Heard her above the sound of the wind and that was enough for him at this point. Tulip?! He called out again honing in on the direction of her voice and to his great relief the wind paused for a moment and he was able to cross enough distance that he found the tree and the den she lay in, her yellow eyes staring out at him.

As soon as his gaze lighted on her he stopped. His nails digging into the ground as the breath seemed to leave his body. Her smell was in the air as well as the faint smell of blood. Golden eyes took in the way her ear hung in front of her face, how her dark fur was riddled with bite marks and new scars that he knew hadn't been there before. Anger bubbled in him. How could they have done this to her? To Tulip? He wanted to snarl at the indignation of it but he didn't, couldn't.

The simple joy of being able to see her. To have her in front of him was overwhelming everything else. A desperate whine escaped him as he slunk towards her lowering himself onto his belly as he neared so that he could place soft kisses on her face before inhaling her covered scent, that so close couldn't hide from him. He needed to touch, smell her to make sure that his eyes weren't deceiving him. Because if this was some dream he was praying to whatever gods there were that he didn't wake up.

(Crappy post, sorry, She's supposed to be all out of it right now since she's injuried so badly so I'm trying to make it come off like she's not really all there.)

She was so cold and stiff, it was hard to move, the overwhelming pain torturing her body. Part of her wanted to let go- but...was he here now? She found herself frazzled and confused. Reality was no longer clear to Tulip as she had been fighting every delusion that came to her. She was so famished...and lonely...but...this...this. This just had to be true. The female whined loudly and abruptly in response to him yelling her name against the howling winds.

Her jaw dropped slightly when she saw him at a distance, then shut in confusion as he halted. Why didn't he come to her? The female expected him to fade away now, to watch his body fade into the dark. For reality to come forth and awake her. Instead the male approached her, sliding forward. She whined loudly and squeezed her eyes shut, allowing the male to plant the delicate kisses upon her dark fur. Slowly she lifted her head to look at him in disbelief, "You here?" She asked not trusting the illusion before her. There was just no way. Tulip moved to get closer to him, her body involuntary wincing with every movement. She pressed her tiny scrawny body into his side stealing away any warmth she possibly could. Her movements had been too fast, scabs busting open to allow a thick mix of blood and puss to escape. The female whimpered a little but focused on getting as close to her Solas as possible, licking his chin submissively but also lovingly.

Despite knowing him, trusting him, the female found herself still scared. Worried he would hurt her and not understanding why. This was Solas. She was okay. Right? She couldn't help the fearful expression set upon her face. Could she really trust anyone? As waves of emotions rushed upon her tears formed and begun to slowly run down her face. "Happy to see Olas." She whispered into his ear before backing away a little, "Scary. Everything scary." Tulip was confused and dazed to a degree, instincts trying to pull her away into solitary, where no one would hurt her. She looked to him, then the den, then back at him. Without a word she stumbled inside, weak body colliding with the dirt. She was constantly falling anymore...

OOC: Sorry for the wait

Her whine filled his ears as he approached and a responding one echoed in his throat as she closed her eyes. He could ignore the wind and the cold but he couldn't ignore her expression or the question so filled with doubt. His tongues was tied, thick with emotion, but he managed to respond. I'm here. It was low and soft as he tried to keep himself from choking.

A worried sound escaped him without him realizing at the pained expression on her face when she moved to press against him. She felt so cold. Too cold. Brows scrunched up with concern as he partly curled around her, offering whatever warmth she wanted to her. Solas wasn't about to turn away from her not now ever and especially not when she was hurt. The scent of blood and pus had grown stronger and he could feel it against his fur. Her submissive gesture was returned with him carefully gliding his cheek over the top of her head, and a wag of his tail.

It felt so right having her there against him and even with her current condition he felt like he could breathe again. Like he had been holding his breath the day that she had been taken and now finally he could take in that sweet breath of fresh air. That breath was quickly caught as he saw the tears sliding down her face and the fearful expression that crossed her features. His chest tightened as she pulled away, her words a brief balm to his sudden concern. Tulip? Was she scared? Of him? That particular idea hurt worse than any physical wound that he had received so far in his life.

"Scary. Everything scary."

Everything included him...Didn't it? His paws remained frozen as he watched her go into the old den. He wanted to go to her wrap himself around her, but even with the looks, was she scared of him. It gnawed at the back of his mind like a dog with a bone. Slowly moving forward he watched for a sign that she didn't want him there. If nothing was shown he would curl himself around her his back to the entrance. A guard and a wind barrier.

Happy to see Tulip to. He whispered in her good ear, his own flattened against his head. Is Olas...scary too? The question hurt to ask but he wanted to make sure that if she was he didn't do anything to prompt that idea more. As he waited for the answer unsure if it would get a response, seeing with how weak she was, he would try and groom her fur in a hopefully soothing gesture.
