Thoughts Speech All Welcome
The sun felt so warm on the man's fur. The past few months with @Nia had left him feeling particularly agreeable, so he felt all the more able to enjoy the warm day. His paws padded along across the ground, littered with stones and brambles that he picked his way through with relative ease at this point. He'd grown used to a lot of things, navigating and negotiating the undergrowth was among them.
He turned and sat down when he reached the top of the hill, looking outward to the west, where the sun would set in the evening. He felt a bit sad, because midsummer had already come and gone, and he was still no closer to Nia, at least, not as close as he would like to be. He felt like life was determined to make everything a struggle for him. He hadn't had a good memory of his birth pack, he had to claw his way into finding friends here in the lore the first time around. Now, it seemed that he still would never find them, and the only friends he had made so far were either in hostile territory, or didn't seem to show the same interest in him that he did in her.
He growled a bit and looked up, watching the setting sun to try to snap out of it. He watched and let his worries fall away for the evening like the light that drained from the sky. He called out to Nia and waited a moment, before settling in for a short rest. He had marked the borders on his way up, so there was no reason not to lay down for a moment now...
