Afternoon - Light Snow, -9°C/16°F

The familiar mountain once again loomed above him, though its snow-covered peaks were hidden in the thick cloud cover. White flakes drifted softly to the ground, adding to the thick cover already masking the features of the land. But Kyrios was not fooled. Soon enough, the hill beneath his feet would be alight with flowers, the trees of the wildwood green once again; And before that…

The Captain had no intention of hanging around for long, knowing what was coming. Relic Lore was again full of wolves, and the pale rogue was bot intend on getting mixed up in anything; Still, it can be fun hanging around for the leadup… And who knew, he might run into old faces, some of whom might be open to a little sport, without expectations.

Scully Archer
At this point, Scully wasn't expecting to ever see the fair, accented stranger again. It hadn't been his first one-night cuddle, and wouldn't likely be the last. Even when the other's cologne crossed the air, it didn't ring as familiar until the Archer actually saw him. The curve of his lips and the bright glint of his eyes brought the memory back. With a wickedly widening grin, he slithered forward to approach the other wolf.

"Lookin' fer me?" he teasingly hummed, certain that wasn't what had drawn the other to the field but willing to flatter himself all the same.

The Rise carried only faint scents of wolves, passing through, not unexpected for such an open space. Most preferred the cover of the trees, finding protection in the shadows – if you were guarding a pack or stalking game, that might be a wise enough option. But Kyrios had always preferred the open spaces more, perhaps because they reminded him of his beloved waterways.

And yet, the Captain wasn’t left alone for long, as a charcoal silhouette appeared against the white backdrop, calling out in a playful tone. Kyrios’s answer came instantly, in the form of a dashing smirk, even before he recognized the lad. Once he did, his eyes lid up, smile widening affectionately; “An’ what if A’ was, love?”

Scully Archer
Scully was braced to remain aloof, despite wanting to jump right into things as though not a moment had passed. It was his way, when others allowed it, but often they didn't. It hadn't stuck with them, they felt guilt or ire about what occurred - a multitude of reasons always seemed to crop up, social intricacies he could always do without but was never permitted to. So when he was greeted with shining recognition and subtle endearment, the Archer all but writhed with joy.

Nearly every tooth was showing as he sidled up to the other man's side and pressed his muzzle to Kyrios' as though this were an old and familiar flame rather than a stranger.

"Then consider me right spoiled," he purred, tail knocking about happily at his back before pulling back a step to talk properly.

"Stole your away across the mountain, did ya?"

Flirting was second nature to Kyrios. He found it made most interactions much more interesting, wolves tended to show their true nature when offered that kind of interest. A well-placed complement could make a shy girl blossom, or a melt a strong man’s rough exterior, both transformation the Captain loved to see.

And then, for others, it was like a sport, a game of how quickly, or how thoroughly, they might woo a target. Either way, the pale rouge was happy to play along, and the grin that crossed the other’s face as he did, was all the reward he needed.

His own tail swayed widely, A warm breath escaping his mouth to mix with the other’s as their noses touched. “A handsome lad such as yerself deserves a little spoilin’,” the pirate purred, winking one golden eye as his companion pulled back. He maintained his warm, easy smile as he answered the question with a small nod of his head; “Had t’ see what all th’ fuss was about. An’ what of ye? Have ye found yerselfa home ‘round these parts?” The question was casual, delivered with a small shrug of one shoulder, to indicate that the man could choose not answer, if he preferred; Kyrios wouldn’t hold it against him.

Scully Archer
The other flattered him again, lowering Scully's defenses all the more. It was likely Kyrios' silver tongue could get a lot of information from the Archer if the seaman really put his mind to it. The question he did ask was certainly one the younger wolf was happy to answer. He nodded his head, giving the general direction of the willow forest he and his sibling laid claim to.

"My sis wanted ta take back our dad's old territory, so now we're 'Willow Ridge' again," he replied casually, settling onto his haunches as the words came.

"You stickin' around here or passin' through 'r what?"

“Ah tha’s grand!” The pirate replied with a grin as he took a seat of his own across from the dark lad. The lands of Relic Lore were bountiful in both beauty and game, as well as plenty of adventure for those who knew how to find it – and he had a feeling his dashing young friend did just that.

The question made him pause for a moment, tilting his head little as he sent the other a playful glance. “A’ might stay a wee spell,” he started, a teasing drawl in his voice; “Depends what A’ find t’ entertain me.” It would be awfully easy to get lost in the mountains with a fine and capable thing just as this one, and dandy too. But he would make no assumptions, or promises, wherever the wind blew, he was bound to follow.

Instead, with just the smallest tinge of spring in the air, he felt impelled to ask: “Ye expectin’ some li’l ones this summer, then?” It was the typical way of pack life after all, what drew most to settle in the first place. And Kyrios couldn’t help but wonder if the handsome lad had any courtship plans of his own, or, perhaps, this sister was the one sailing that ship.
