Trisden Lyall
<blockquote>Kade's effect on the situation was monumental, and Trisden wondered if this had been divine intervention. The older wolf took immediate command where Trisden had failed, and it was only her great love for the man which prevented her from boiling over with envy. He was not a figure to be jealous of - he was a figure to be <i>inspired</i> by. The strength of Kade, the soft wisdom of her mother... (the subtle infusions of Jaysyek clung to Kade's coat, a fresh wave of painful but necessary nostalgia, and Trisden nearly found it all too much.)

Chantille's gentle but cutting words caught her ears, and though Trisden was elated through the winning of Kade's forgiveness, she had been simultaneously humbled. It was difficult to reconcile the two feelings. Trisden had long shunned lies and deceit, and if she was brutally honest with herself, she could understand Chantille's perspective. But the timing was still all wrong - she would not be able to interrupt Kade to offer the cream woman her apologies, for that felt to be undermining his authority. And she did not question his authority.

Besides... it was hard, that 's' word. Her ears pulling back, the arrogance fading from her expression as she fought with her simultaneous desires to be a <i>better</i> person and to be a <i>superior</i> person. Keeping quiet, the girl leant into Kade more, seeking to draw from his immeasurable strength. </blockquote>

Chantille Idasis
After her bit was spoken, it seemed as if an iron curtain and draped itself over her- she was silenced. Taking a small step back, the creamy woman had become a spectator of the events unfolding before her. Keen brown eyes watched Trisden carefully. She seemed....so attached to Kade. The man's presence just begged for authority; it siphoned the awe from others. The creamy woman stood, though, unmoved. She had met the silver-flecked man within the fog, and he seemed to act the same way at first. Though after a few minutes, he had calmed.

Chantille knew within her heart that it was not her place to stand up for Follko. He was an elder after all, and it is a well known saying of those who have aged: the older you are, the wiser you get. She secretly hoped that Follko could save his own poor behind without her interjection. It would be difficult, though; he'd have to choose his words carefully.

Follko Theizkei
Thanks so much! I was real confused earlier about that.>< I'm sorry for any confusion!

Oh great... Follko wanted to tell this wolf to shove off, but he wasn't stupid.
In his condition whether he had a healthy weight of 145 pounds or not he wouldn't
have been able to beat this male wolf. Respectfully Follko kept his head low and
his mouth shut, but he had to say something.
"Well first of all, if I may speak to Trisden for a second. I was not joking about
treating you with respect like an adult. As a loner you do deserve that. What I was joking
about was how I was having fun with you with this flower earlier. You could have just
walked away I guess..." Follko kept his tone reserved and tried to be as gentle as
possible with his words. He had to think before he spoke now. Or he'd get his head ripped off.

"And for your explanation..." Follko wished he knew the males name before
anything but oh well...
"Jaysyek accepted me after I made the offer to teach her pups the rules of the wolf
and the pack. It's the only I can do for our pack." He glanced at Kade but did not look at him
in order to stay as submissive as possible.
"Since she is one of Jaysyeks older pups I must still try to teach her our wolf rules. It does not
mean that I am above her in any way." He tried formulating his sentences so as not to say
something badly or wrong.
"I also want to chip in that she does not have pack scent on her. So I didn't know that
she wasn't an enemy of our pack even if she was Jaysyeks daughter. Now I can see that
this pup WAS missed. Though I don't know the whole story. Perhaps she ran off or maybe she
was kidnapped, the thing is I didn't know. And Even though I raised myself to her as a loner I
would submit myself to her and serve without complaint if she was accepted back
into the pack." He glanced at her and then back to Kade hoping they would understand.
But he doubted they would so he readied himself for the sharp teeth that would pin his
jaws shut for bad behavior.

"So yeah that's all I have to say I guess. " Follko closed his eyes and waited for a reprimend
if he would get one. Then he thought of something which was still nagging him."By the way what's your name?" Follko asked Kade. It was obvious this male was in his pack
with the scent that curled around him and Follko thought he should know who was in their pack.

Kade Attaya
No worries :)

<blockquote>The explanation that ensued was lengthy, if not informative. The old man first offered some insight to Trisden concerning his reasoning behind the ruckus Kade had come upon as he'd rushed to the heir's side. Though he was initially taken aback that it was not he who was addressed first, the man quickly concluded that it was both appropriate and warranted that Trisden was offered the first of the light to be shed, and he listened openly as his tail flickered behind him. Afterward, Follko spoke his piece, at times cutting a gaze in the Guardian's direction. It was true that the novel Hollow wolf would not have known of Trisden's disappearance, and as he carried Jaysyek's scent there was little doubt that there was honesty in many of his chosen words.

Still, if this man was an elected pack teacher, Kade did not believe he should be demonstrating his <i>skills</i> to a wolf he said himself he thought was a loner, far from Grizzly Hollow territory. But Kade was but a protector, and education was hardly his forte. Either way, Follko had crossed the line, and it just so happened the coal-coated brute happened upon the trio in the heat of the moment. If what the old man said was true, and he had pledged himself to the benefit of the children, there was no use in harming him, but here and now he would know his place within <i>their</i> ranks.

<b>"I am sure your teachings will not be your <i>only</i> contribution to <i>our</i> pack. Perhaps in the future you would do well to conduct your lessons closer to <i>home.</i>"</b> As much as he wanted to reiterate the fact that the low ranking had disrespected Trisden, he understood that there was no ill intention and it was not lost upon him that he was not there himself as the events unfolded. Although he disapproved of the fiasco as a lesson, if that was what it was, he would be satisfied to settle the matter and move foreward with the new pack mate that he'd met in the most peculiar and hostile of moments.

The male remained eye-to-eye with the old man as he hoped his point had gotten across well enough; Trisden was a treasure, and her return would bring joy to Grizzly Hollow. The princess would have her say, and Kade would make quick work of delivering her to her mother and the safety of the Cedar forest. <b>"My <i>name</i> is Kade Attaya, and I trust this will be <i>last</i> time you regard the youth of <i>our</i> pack with such <i>reckless</i> judgment."</b>

It was then he leaned slowly from Trisden's touch, a reminder that <i>it was time</i>, while tactfully lowering his posture and shifting his gaze to Chantille, who had been watching quietly on the side lines. He knew his reaction to them all had been brash, though he felt it necessary. There would be an appropriate moment for an apology, but it was not now. It was of the upmost importance that the Lyall female return to their home, and he was ready to get her there. His stare was softer as it fell upon the chocolate hues of the woman's eyes, and silently he truly hoped she would understand.</blockquote>

Trisden Lyall
<blockquote>Trisden tried not to look too uncomfortable when Follko began to speak, though she found this 'alternate perspective' intensely difficult to listen to. He had mocked her, she knew that, and when he patiently explained that she had misunderstood, she resisted the powerful urge to bristle. So now he had to patronise her too. But maybe it was fair - maybe she had misunderstood. <i>Well maybe he shouldn't have jested at her expense in the first place.</i> Either way, she took his explanation with a steely gaze, her eyes narrowing at his 'could have walked away' finisher. Yeah, or he could just have minded his own business in the first place.

But the subject quickly turned from her to more general matters, as the old wolf laboured the point of why her mother had accepted him, and her nose wrinkled in distaste as he spoke of teaching them. As if she wanted to learn from him. Kiche sprang to mind, though that brought mixed feelings to the table, and she pushed it aside roughly for another time. <i>Teach her wolf rules,</i> the old man said, and Trisden scoffed quietly but openly. How ridiculous. Did she behave like a beaver or something? She knew how to be a <i>wolf</i>.

The constant use of the word 'pup' also aggravated her, but by this point she was on a one-way trip of irritation and he could have said anything - it would still have antagonised the girl. Still, she at least bore his words silently, without interruption or attempts to elaborate. That was due to Kade's presence and authority, though, no more and no less. She would not have been so gracious otherwise.

Then it was that mighty wolf's turn, and Trisden drew a sick glee from his venomous tone and harsh words. Perhaps having a hero wasn't such a bad idea... but only if they were truly worthy of the title. Kade certainly was. Not for the first time, she sorely regretted the truth of her paternal lineage.

Kade leaned away from her, and Trisden recognised the intention. Stepping forward, she nudged the underside of her dark-furred champion lightly, expressing her compliance. She would do as he asked, when he asked it. These lessers had been dealt their dues; there was no need for Trisden to salt their wounds.</blockquote>

Chantille Idasis
It was time for her to go. She knew it. The brown eyes of the milky toned woman caught those steely eyes of Kade, and she nodded her head lightly- just barely. She knew he did not mean to cast such a disgusted gaze upon her. Taking a few steps back, she parted her jaws, allowing a quiet voice to speak: "I suppose I will be taking my leave. Good day." No, she did not address any of the wolves; it was a general goodbye.

Turning her frame, she looked back at Follko with a frown on her face. She was to return to the mountains to patrol her pack borders as she did daily. Guilt pulled at her heart as she began the travel back to the rocky area. Should she have said anything? No...no. She knew that it was not her place to speak for the older man. He was only trying to teach the snotty wolf...Trisden...yes, that was it, a lesson. It seemed that Kade did not fully understand, but oh well. Apparently she was royalty. As she disappeared from sight, she rolled her eyes "Goodness..." she mumbled, sighing.

Follko Theizkei
Follko shook his fur watching Kade still with a neutral expression.
He felt a little sad that he did not get a chance to know more about the
white she wolf who had walked in on everything, but oh well. If she was from
another pack anyway it might have been for the better.
At least she isn't spanking me further... Follko glanced quickly towards Trisden
Then closed his eyes and sighed.
"Guess its time to get back to the pack then." Follko stood a little straighter and nodded
his head to Kade and Trisden.
"After you then." He waited for the other two to start back. Since he was the lowest rank
he would follow them obediently. At least if they went back together he would get the
chance to see Jaysyek again. She was expecting pups soon. Maybe they were born already.
He was very excited about the whole idea. With a slight smile he wondered what they
would look like, and what their personalities would be.(Exit Follko when you guys finish)

<blockquote>Though he had undoubtedly rained on the parade, he held no remorse for scolding the old Hollow wolf, and it was with no surprise that he silently watched as Chantille took her leave. Trisden's compliant touch was all he had waited for, and he would issue a gentle, proud nudge to her crown reassuringly.

<i>"After you, then."</i> Polite words, though he had every intention of escorting the princess back to the castle alone - they had much to discuss before returning to Cedarwood Forest.

<b>"It will be best if you make your own way home."</b> he stated smoothly and with all the respect he could muster for a complete stranger to Follko. With a setting sun to light at least some of their way, the Guardian pressed forward, smiling back to the girl who he couldn't be happier to share the evening with.</blockquote>
