Hotei Tainn
His ears listened to the heartwarming words that were spoken from her sweet ivory lips. Burn couldn't believe that the woman would come for him if another fire happened. Though he did believe that she would try to escape with him if they were together in the first place. Hotei's heart melted at her words and a soft sigh radiated echoing past his fur-less black muzzle.

The words that followed set both sides of the black wolfs mind on ablaze in a warm but painless fire. She loves me? Hotei's voice quivered battling against Burn for control of his body once more. She loves us The darker half of his spirit answered at ease with the gray she wolf beside him. It was true Burn held her in higher regard than most all other wolves that he knew. Spare for maybe Uncle Honijo and one old white friend from his lone burning days. His heart did beat for her. Burn wanted her to stay close to him. He felt possessive of this woman, and only wanted her to succeed in life. To be close to her while she succeeded, to watch her be happy. That was what he wanted. Hotei too, wanted her to be happy. Right now if that meant being close then everything was a-okay for him.

Both personalities, dark and light wanted the best for Jessie. They could not deny their feelings for the woman, and even felt jealous of each other for their feelings over her. She was theirs and no one else's. With a comfortable growl emitting from the depths of his belly Hotei and Burn lay their head on the silver she wolfs soft shoulder. Soaking in her scent they basked in the feelings that overtook them.

"And we..we love you..." The two males, light and dark finally regarded each other. Knowing that this moment would change their lives, or life, as it was. Burn and Hotei. Their thoughts turned to Jessie and the pack. What were they to do now? With Marsh barely sufficing as leader? Then the arrogant Ice cracking beneath Burns pressure? The pack, their family,,He would not last if Ice decided to be an ass and challenge Marsh. It was a possibility that could happen. Logically Burn could see Ice being leader, and being good at it. Perhaps taking Swift River out of its rutt. However Hotei did not want to see this happen. Not with the many things that had already occurred and changed recently.

"Do you also love the family here.. in Swift River? The pack as it is now.. Would you like to see it rise up again and thrive?" He asked in a low grumble closing his yellow eyes as he rested upon her, wishing slightly that she would move closer to him, as close as she could.

Jessie Tainn

Emerald eyes stared at the burnt wolf, the woman’s heart pounding profoundly against her ribs. She almost felt as though she needed him, and that she just needed to reach out to him and comfort the emotions that raging deep within him. She waited silently for his reply, and when it came, a big thrill went through her, as if she were experiencing something beyond her knowledge. She was not just loved by one being, but two, of whom shared the same body. Stepping closer, she buried her nose into his neck fur and inhaled his scent, letting his being wash over her senses completely.

The burnt wolf in front of her had intrigued her since she had first met him, even if at first he had been pretty pissy with her. She had not accepted that kind of treatment and had made somewhat of a challenge towards him. That had gained Burn’s respect and it had started the friendship between the two. It was odd, having to meet him again, with him seeming to have no memory of her, and her knowing much about him, though turning out to be not so much, as if how demeanor had changed completely. She had not minded the two meetings though, as it had presented plenty of information about him.

His next words caught her off guard, as they were a complete change of subject, but she did answer them honestly, “Yes, I would give up my life for them all.” She could not say the same for the ones that had left the pack, deserted them all. Indru had took many from them and there was no way that he would ever be forgiven nor would he be forgotten. But…he would be stored in the pack of their minds so that they could all move on in their lives. If the male ever did turn back up, he would pay for what he had done for the pack overall. The way he had broken Corinna and the rest of the pack along with her. Mercy was not a word that the River wolves would have in mind.

Hotei Tainn
Ima fade this out now. Hotei/Burn are tired anyway.

She does want the pack to thrive. Loyalty.. I suppose is something not meant for the Tainn's but for those they love around them. Why is life like this? Burn remained quiet as Hotei thought silently about Jessie's words. There was no way he could stay and be happy. Of course he'd be happy while he was with Jessie, but every second away from her would send the ticking time bomb rolling in the burnt wolf. He wouldn't be able to put up with this new "Swift River" any more. His family was not here. His family was gone. Elsewhere perhaps. Then it's time for me to move on? Hotei wondered quietly.

The black wolf stayed quiet resting his head on Jessie's neck and breathing a deep sigh. His eyes fluttered a few times until Both Hotei and Burn settled to sleep. For now he would soak up all the time he could with Jessie. For both of their hearts, the dark independent Burn, and the aloof outgoing Hotei, were tearing with the decision that had to be made.

A fitful sleep enclosed them. Filled with shadows of doubt, worry, and jealousy.

(Exit Hotei/Burn)
