Ashanti snarled at him as he spoke, she ran off, not into the thicket, but away from it. It was obvious that they didn’t want her there, not even Hollow anymore. He had called her black hearted. It had really stung her heart, but after all, she deserved it. She howled out her pain as she ran, as fast as she could despite her swollen state. She was going to go on a little adventure… away from Secret Woodlands. She needed some space. She saw it as he had never been there for her. He had only been there because of the thing that kicked her guts; it wasn’t for her it was for the pup.
Ashanti was frustrated above everything else. If that had happened to him, if he were in her position, he would have done the same thing. She grew up where her parents were slaughtered in front of her eyes, and he didn’t think that she was grateful for having something that she never wanted? If only she were a male, then it never would have happened. Then she wouldn’t have had to worry about such things. It was the ignorance of the male population that consumed every wolf, even Hollow. To think, she thought she could have trusted him. She snorted at her ignorance and ease of trusting; how naïve she had been to think such things. She could trust no one. She knew that she needed a break from all of this. Just she needed to get away for a while.
