Ace Caravello
So sorry for the long wait Pinn!

A smile graced his features as Capella spoke of a deer herd not too far away. He could feel the excitement coming off of her in waves, and was sure that she could sense his own excitement that mirrored hers. As he continued searching for a scent trail that they could follow, his ears picked up the sound of the creamy faes' voice, and lifted up his head, only to see her walk away. The grey male grinned as he saw her turn her head to look at him and pause. He broke into a quick lope to catch up to her retreating form, and slowed down when he got beside her. "You ready to take down a deer?" His voice was almost child-like, full of excitement and nervousness. He hadn't hunted with anyone else except wolves from his birth pack, so this was going to be a new experience for him.

Lowering his creamy white muzzle to the ground, Ace followed the scent trail at a quick trot. He didn't want to tire himself out before they even got to the chase, and even though he had a fair bit of stamina, it usually didn't take long for him to tire out anyway. There were a few rustles here and there, most likely small animals such as mice, maybe even a rabbit. But all he was focusing on was deer. He'd had a growing edacity for something more than a rabbit the past few days, and now was his chance to quench it.

When they got close enough to the herd to be seen, the grey male glanced briefly at Capella with an excited grin on his face. Looking at the herd, his light grey eyes flitted from one to the other, searching for a suitable deer to take down. Preferably, the deer should be old, sickly, or a young fawn. Taking down a deer in its prime was way out of their league with just the two of them. Looking back at the creamy fae, he spoke in a soft voice. "Do you want to take the honours?" He'd let Capella choose, seeing as she went on that hunt with Shade before, so she knew the area. He also wanted to see how well she could lead a hunt. He'd lead many hunts before, but he was curious about the creamy fae. She intrigued him in many ways, maybe more than they should.

Bottled up excitement made her feel even lighter on her feet as she moved gracefully across the land. Ace caught up with her quickly, likely due to his difference in stride. The silver wolf had longer legs than Capella did, but she figured when it came down to it her smaller frame could have outrun his cyclopean one. His voice swept through her encouraging her enthusiasm, and leaving a playful glint in her eyes. "I'm always ready for a hunt!" It was true, the young girl found herself pretty good at it, so long as she knew the lay of the land.

She slowed her pace to match Ace step for step, afraid of pushing forward too fast. As a young wolf that had been her biggest problem when attempting to hunt. Eventually she did learn the right moment to strike, and that is when she first realized she had a talent. The pale girl was a phenomenal hunter, taught by who she thought was the very best. She traced each successful hunt back to her mother,

The scent trail became ever stronger the more they moved. The pale girl forced herself to stop when they were almost directly on top of the heard. Picking up her head she searched among the deer before her, trying to pick out a weak one. His voice warmed her heart, as that meant that he would trust her. She would lead her first hunt, which caused a smile to break out across her face. Whispering so softly that she was sure the deer would not spook she asked, "Are you sure?" Awaiting his answer she moved her sunflower eyes back to the heard picking out a decent sized male who seemed to be limping. Further inspection proved him to be rather unfit as he couldn't hold any weight on his mangled leg. The poor creature must have gotten caught in something, destroying his leg. "There is one down there, see on the left? He can't put weight on that leg, which no doubt will leave him slower than the rest. If we spook the others, he will be left behind." Her plan was already forming, her mind working as fast as it could in such little time.
