Moe Destus
Moe had spent the day wandering, and exploring the strange eerie forest. Constantly fighting off the chills the Raven gave her every time it flew over head. Paws aching, and head throbbing; the small femme struggled with the growling pit in her stomach. However she was more concerned with finding the territory line for the nearest pack. She hadn't realized how lonely, and challenging being on her own would prove to be. She couldn't help the overwhelming urge to find them, and the best she could manage was a good impression. However... first she needed to find that border.

Bowing, and stretching her long appendages before her, as her maw parted widely releasing a loud yawn of exhaustion. Digging her digits into the dirt as she suddenly flopped to her side, rolling in the sprouts of grass; that smelled of warmth and sunshine. 'How much further must it be? ... should I bring a rabbit as a peace offering?' Moe's mind whirled, as she became reluctant to go further. Her doubts and worries weighing in on her heart once again, her past experiances flooding over her. Grumbling under her breath, she extended her neck, lifting her paws above her snout, before sneezing loudly; bouncing back up to her pads and stratizing a way to hunt something down quickly.

Shaking her dusty obsidian coat, she began padding quickly into the trees ahead. Her amber irises wide as she scoped the area for anything small, or any sudden movements in the brush. She could just barely feel rain drizzle through the canopy above head, rain drops splashing on her noise. Right as she paused to shake her head, she caught something tawny and quick dart acrss her vision. Snapping her head around, she automaticly ran after it, kicking dirt up as she flew at full speed towards the small creature. Ears flattened to her skull and tail stick stiff, as she tried to gain as much momentum as possible. Flying through the trees, she finally caught full sight of what she was chasing, a tail length away she had manage to speed onto the heels of a adult rabbit. Her lips pulled into a wolfish grin as she was certain the hunt was sealed.

Taking a leap of faith, she lunged forward with the remaining stamina in her, and plunged towards the rabbit, snapping at it's long agile legs. The small creature cried out in fear as it lost footing and slid out of safety. Moe took this chance to knock the tiny rodent with her paw, before rushing to a halt and tackling it. Pinning it down with her fore paws, before snapping her jaws around it's neck and crushing it. Blood dripping over her tongue as she lifted the rabbit from the forest floor and lifted her nose to the air. 'Now to find that territory marker... It can't be too far off.' she thought, pride in her catch swelling in her chest as she pranced along, her notrils flared as she tried to detect the pack scents from the aroma of blood pouring into them.

After what seemed like and hour or so, she found herself so close to the pack's denning area that she thought she might at this point be intruding. So positioning herself further away, she dropped the rabbit at her paws. Falling back on her haunches as she tipped her head up, parting her lips and letting out a long requesting howl. The notes high, yet smooth with a bell like ring to them. This howl was a call to the pack, that she ment no harm but was quite interested in joining; if they'd have her that is. She hoped that a Leader would, come to her or another pack member willing to help her out. "Now all I can do is wait...." Time is patience, and patience is key. As her mother always said. Head slightly dipped, as she watched the prey at her toes, she flicked her tail and waited for a wolf og authority to approach.

'A half a year alone, is long enough for me... I'm ready now. To face my fears.'

Gone Tomorrow

Stifling a yawn, the she-wolf dug her nose deeper into her tail. Her two sons were playing around her, their high yips and growls preventing her from actually falling asleep. A good thing, as it would turn out. Daylight was beginning to fade when the howl broke. High enough that it was female, but it was not one that Corinna was familiar with. Immediately, her head snapped up, and her hackles rose as she listened. The distance distorted the details of the song, but it was no matter - the general gist of it was understood. Looking down at her two sons, who had paused in their playing to listen as well, she smiled at them. "Alright, loves, in you go. It's bed time." Their squeals of protest did not dissuade her, however, and grumpily her sons disappeared into the darkness. Satisfied that they would be safe and looked after, Corinna headed in the direction that the call had come from.

Setting off at a face paced run, Corinna hurried, the scenery racing by her. Her haste was not for the sake of the lone wolf who wanted to join their pack, but rather for the sake of her sons. They were getting bigger, and their curiosity had grown exponentially - there was no telling what they would get up to in her absence. Better to deal with this lone wolf now and return than to leave her dawdling. All the better for her, whoever she was.

Sometime later, the scent had grown significantly stronger. Definitely a foreign scent and definitely female. The scent invoked an instinctual response in the Leader, and without thinking about it, Corinna's pace slowed and her head and tail rose. Before her a dark shape came into view, slim and somewhat ragged looking. The scent that surrounded her was marked by the scent of blood, explained by the furry lump at her paws, but otherwise she was distinctly a lone wolf. That was good. Her primary concern was Sceral and Serach, and as of late, the borders of Oak Tree Bend had become quite popular. There was a limit to how many they could reasonably expect to feed.

As Corinna drew up to the invisible border, clearly marked by her and Ice's scents, she growled low in her throat. It wasn't threatening, per say, but the growl along with her posture would be enough to indicate to the female who she was dealing with. Stopping with the invisible line between them, her growl subsided and she looked on. "Who are you?" She asked, blunt though not unkindly.

Moe Destus
Moe waited patiently, Her Bright eyes watching the trees beyond the border. Her lobes perked and alert as to catch anything lurking in the setting day. Her limbs shifted slightly uncomfortably, she had been here for awhile now. However she was willing to wait. Ears twitching, she watched the foliage like an owl. Tail swishing in the leaves around her haunches. Any time now.

Moe had to keep from jumping out of surprise when the fae appeared close by, she had started to drift into a small sleep. She was exhausted, and it was obvious. However she wanted to be somewhere besides by herself. She'd do whatever it took to get the comfort of a pack, and the safety of numbers. Moe honestly longed for the companionship, and happiness of being with others of her own kind. She wanted things to protect and live for again. Life alone was starting to wear on her quickly. Standing up stiffly, her orbs went round. Slightly panicing for a split second, having no clue what she'd do or how she'd greet the regal female. She had messed this part up before, she wasn't goign to do that again.

Grabbing the rabbit at her paws, as the female placed herself infrotn of Moe, her stance oozing dominance. Moe felt this huge pressure over her tha screamed, lye low. Moe instandly lowered her head and slouched lower then the female, which made her look tiny; due to her already existing petit frame, her tassle slung between her legs. As to make sure the female knew she wished not to challenge her in any way what so ever. She nudged the rabbit in the females direction. Moe wasn't sure whether she should look her in the eye or not, but eye contact always showed a challenge. So therefore she kept her eye's glued to the dark earth below her pads.

"I'm Moe Destus, miss. I'm very honored to meet you." Moe spoke softly, tryign to keep any superiority from her voice, making sure she didn't make herself seem/look/ or sound superior. Which Moe always in the past had issues with, She watched the female, with hopeful irises. She hoped she wasn't a sore to her eyes. After all, Moe just wanted a family again. Of course if the female had pups, which Moe figured she did. She would be very cautious about whom she let near them. Moe wished and hoped that she wouldn't look to be one whom would betray the females trust, because she wouldn't. One thing about Moe was that she was loyal to the core. However if betrayed by one she loves, she can turn deadly. However if trusted, and believed in she would go above and beyond ones hopes. If given the chance.

She waited for the female to react, whether it be good or bad. Or simply neutral she would take it with a calm demeanor. While still making sure the female understood her harmless-ness. Keep calm, show that you're trust worthy, Moe. Though she still couldn't help the nervous tremble in her tail as she waited for the females judgement.

Gone Tomorrow

Corinna's presence brought the other female to her feet, initially. And then came the familiar slouch and the aversion of eyes that was customary in these situations. All well and good, and while Corinna did not physically respond, she looked upon the stranger with a kinder eye. Disrespect was not something she would tolerate - there were far too many mouths in the pack for her to give a damn about a scraggly lone wolf who was unwilling to bend to their superiors.

And it seemed this one was willing to bend enough and beyond. The rabbit which had been sitting at the loner's feet was pushed forward, presumably an offering of goodwill of sorts. Lowering her head to sniff it, a smile graced her lips and her tail wagged side to side a few times behind her. Lifting her head once again, she took a step forward. "Corinna Donata. This pack is Oak Tree Bend." Crossing the border she approached Moe, Cori's overbearing presence doing it's best to push Moe further to the ground. "How long have you been a lone wolf, Moe? It looks like a while. Why did you leave?"

Normally, Corinna asked what skills a lone wolf could provide for them, but that was less important to her now than gauging their loyalty. The last time she had accepted a newcomer into the pack, she had listened to Fenru vouch for Belun, who had disappeared even before Corinna and Ice had decided to relocate. She was tired with it - she would not allow stragglers to feed on her caches and influence her children only to disappear.

Moe's body pushed further to the ground, so much that the grass crunched and twigs pushed into her pelt. Her ears were perked enough so that she wouldn't miss a word that left the females maw. Everything at this moment was extremely important to the small femme. Her heart relaxed, as the beautiful lupa wagged her tail, she could hear it brushing her fur. This was a good sign to Moe, which ment she hadn't blown it yet. Having everything she had depending on how she acted, she made sure that Corinna got nothing but truth, and all of her attention. Moe refused to let anything destract her from the task at hand. "My pack had me removed, becuase I was threatening the lone females entering the pack... My youngest brother, and many others thought it best that I be on my own." Moe's voice trembled, the memories of her brother's greedy betrayal to her stung worse then a wasps bite. However she was also at fault.

Ears pulled back in shame, she hung her head lower, She couldn't erase the past, nor could she pretend that. This in it's self just didn't look good for her, However she could do her best to prove to Corinna that. That was in the past, and she'd do anything to show that she wasn't and isn't the same wolf anymore. And won't ever make the same mistakes again. She was willing to risk another chance at having family that cared. The one before was lacking in the love department, However anything was good enough for her now. She peeked up, nervously, her tail still tucked as she continued to speak. And anser Corinna's question. "I was alone for six months, Corinna. I know I must not look like much, but I'd give anything to have the company of others." suddenly, she felt stupid for speaking anythign after that, and completely slid to the ground.

Her stomach flatt to the earth, and her nose in the dirt. She had know way to make up for her wrong doing in the past, and know way to make up or what she did without another giving her the chance. Which to them would seem like a risk, she knew she must not look like much of anything in Corinna's eyes. But she ment well, and only wanted to be of use. She stayed in her submissive possition until further spoken too.

One more post from you, and I think we can wrap this up. It isn't 10 posts, but you can still get LP for joining the pack. I didn't want to keep you hanging any longer. =)

Gone Tomorrow

Corinna's muscles were filled with tension, her dominating posture immobile and unrelenting. In response, Moe sank into the ground. The lone wolf's tail was tucked underneath her, and her eyes were downcast. All that was more than satisfactory to Cori, but still she did not ease her own stance. She would not until this matter was decided, one way or the other. Either the lone wolf would rise a member of Oak Tree Bend or she would scurry away into the woods. All that depended on the answer she gave to the pack leader's questions.

Her green eyes remained hard, and her face blank, but alarm bells went off in Corinna's head. Thrown out for attacking lone wolves? Laying on the ground now and her physique diminished from her time scavenging, Moe hardly looked like she was a threat. But appearances were not always what they seemed to be. Six months was a long time to be on one's own; shuffling her paws in the grass and looking down at the younger female with a critical eye, Corinna wondered if six months was long enough for Moe to accept and learn from the consequences of her actions.

"We take great care to guard our borders here," she mused after a moment. "But, that does not mean we attack strange wolves without reason. If I find out that you've done so, it will be you who is attacked. Understood?" The leader's tone afforded no room for argument on the matter, either Moe would comply or she would begin her hunt for a place to call home anew. Dipping her head, Corinna's muzzle went to part around Moe's in a muzzle grab. After a firm shake, she released the scrawny female and backed up, her dominant stance relaxing as she waited for the new Oak Tree Bend subordinate to rise. Turning, the leader led Moe across the border and into pack territory, ready to show the new girl her home.

Moe Destus
Moe lay in the most uncomfortable position, never before did she remember having put so much effort in trying to get another being to understand her. Before now the petit fae had never bowed down to another, beside her older siblings whom forced their dominace upon her. She understood them, and did as they pleased; however this made her feel she had the authority to free run everything they didn't scout over constantly. This eventually led to her position now, though she could find that hopefully her future was bright from this point on. Moe's ear's swiveled on her head, as she tried to stay alert to how Corinna was reacting to her, after all Moe's chance at finding a family counted on how Corinna felt about her.

Every bone in Moe's body was shaking as each moment pasted her by, Moe was unable to read Corinna since she refused to raise her head or look the dominant female in the eyes. She wanted to do this right after all. The femme could pretty much feel her nose pressing into the soil beneath her. She kept her eyes planted low. Waiting silently for Corinna to reply to her answer previously, she hoped what she had done in her past wasn't going to haunt her even longer. Must I always make such foolish mistakes... Moe's mind wandered for a split second, within this time Corinna had begun to speak. Moe's ears perked so she could listen closely to every word she spoke. Her complete and utter attention was on Cori alone.

Moe felt her posture melting, She couldn't believe what she was hearing. Did this mean she was safe to assume she had gotten in? Was Corinna accepting her, willing to take her in. Show her, that mistakes could be forgiven. Moe responded quickly, making sure to answer Cori and not leave her words hanging between them. "I understand completely, Corinna. No such thing will ever happen again. I promise you that." Moe's voice was strong in her determination to make that Promise true in ever way possible. She continued to keep her eyes low, but relaxed enough to let her body rise atleast a half foot from the dirt.

Moe's body tensed, her eyes squeezed shut, as Corinna's strong maw grasped her own weak muzzle. She braced herself for the shake, making sure to take it like a wolf and not what she used to be. Which was a coward, and a failure. Her muscled tightened as Corinna shook her muzzle, then let her go; backing up still towering over her dominantly. However she seemed more relaxed now and less horrifying to Moe. All Moe could manage to feel for this female now, was respect and understanding. It must be a difficult job, being and Alpha and looking after others. Especially if any were like Moe's previous self. She lifted her weak frame from the ever presant crouch, and followed Corinna over the border curiously watching everythign around her. A strange feeling fluttering in her chest. She hadn't felt like this in a long while. She finally would have a place to call home, and wolves to consider her family again. Moe made sure she was still seeminly smaller then the female as she stuck close, her tail still low as she watched the terra around her. Now finally being led home. ~
