It was slightly hard on him in thinking that Namara and him were equals now. Ever since she had joined he had basically been the lead male and she his subordinate. It was sometimes hard to think of their relationship as anything more. The only problem was that they both knew that the attraction and emotions were there. No matter how much either of them tried to hide them, something always leaked out. Whether it had been anger, pain, or something far more dangerous: love, Ash and Namara had stick together through everything, and they weren’t even stopping now. Hopefully, if all went according to plan, they would have a new home…one that they would be able to rely on…together.

They moved together now, with Namara trailing just slightly behind him, something that was definitely comforting to his mind. She was not dependant on him, but he knew that she had faith in him. Which would have done much to boost his confidence had it not been for the fact that their whole pack had just abandoned them. No word for anyone, they had all just left. It was a continuous reminder to him that no matter what he did, the ones he cared about would eventually slip away from him. Some nights, he would stare up at the stares, counting one by one the wolves that had either let him down or left him. Tonight would not be one of those nights, because he had one wolf at his side that kept him sane. They were on their way to their new beginning, and for once, they would prosper.
