Aideen Smoke

The blond woman uttered a name that was uniquely foreign to Aideen's ears, the muttering manner in which it was spoken not making it any easier. "Kay-nee," She tried, the sound emitted from somewhere deep in her throat; That sounded like a frog croaking! She wasn't even close. Shaking her head, half in irritation with herself, half in apology, she smiled sheepishly at the lady; "I've never met a wolf with such a strange name..." Only after the words had already left her mouth did she realize how rude they sounded; Oh, no! I didn't mean..! She parted her jowls to apologize, but before she could speak again, the large wolfess lashed out.

The slight girl jumped sideways in shock as K'arnae unleashed her anger, spinning around to look straight at the big wolf, mouth open in surprise; I it... What?! A moment ago, she had been worried about insulting this strange dame; it seemed she had no such constraints. Aideen stared at the woman, shock preventing her from responding, but soon, anger began to simmer under her friendly manner. Before she could express it though, another voice rang out, it's deep, dominant bark rumbled through the thicket. Recognizing the voice, the small fae turned her head, feeling a slight relief washing over her as she locked eyes with her alpha briefly, her waking temper burning in her bright coppers.

Miccah was blunt and confrontational to the strange lady, posture clearly underlining his position. As he turned to Aideen, the girl lifted herself into a, rarely used, dominant stands - lower than her brawny leader, but still potently conveying her dismay - eyes returning to K'arnae. With a quiet snarl, she answered her alpha, eyes still fixed on the outsider; "Not at all," Her voice was icy, nothing like her previous, friendly attempts at interaction; "I was just escorting this... Behemoth out of our thicket." Only a very few things could flare the petite lassie's rage, insulting her home was one of them, and when it ignited, it burned potently.

Glancing at Miccah, though swiftly looking back to the woman, Aideen added dismissively; "But I'm sure she can find her own way from here on. Unless you want to drag her!" The last she added as an afterthought, looking to her alpha yet again, with almost serious eyes; she would like to see that. While she waited for answer, she stayed her position, standing on stiff legs, shoulders raised; she would wait for her leader's decree, but as far as she was concerned, this boorish woman was worth nothing more of their time; And fairly, I have better things to do!

Few had been able to speak her name without difficulty. It was simply a fact she had come to accept and no longer too offense to it in her maturing years. She simply nodded to the smaller female's attempt, replaying the tone as she committed to memory. How one spoke to her, their tone of voice placed more of an imprint than scent to her mind. Each tone was unique, as she was encouraged to learn, for should fate see fit to blunt her nose or lessen her sight, she trusted her hearing would remain.

But such learning thoughts of the past were forgotten when nature reared itself and made passage all the more difficult. Her prior rage for the wood bubbled over without warning and spilled into the lands as she thrashed the innocent floral. She was more than annoyed, she was livid with herself, wondering how on this earth she had allowed herself to stumble so deeply into the thick without recollection. Had her mind been too far gone that only the routine of her steps was all she heeded?

She did not see the shock on the female's face for her behavior, but certainly heard the origin of a foreign voice seemingly resonating throughout the surrounding sect of thick wood. Immediately her bi-colored eyes turned to the dark projection, her eyes wide and lips quivering as she assessed with scrutiny. Her state was not so rampant that she could not comprehend his words, or those of his subordinate, though they did nothing to ease her irritable state.

"If I could have found my way out on my own," she snapped in turn. "Then I would not have followed you this far." It was apparent she was a lost soul, treading so far and deep into the skirts of claimed land. Yet her point still stood in her angered mind; how was one so large supposed to navigate through this Thicket when nature itself was inclined to hinder progress? Was the area one large trap?

Letting her lips ease their tension, she again let her eye sweep passively over the male. The first and perhaps only notable asset of him she acknowledged as indeed his size. Larger than herself, yet she was hardly daunted by it. If anything she was curious on how he was able to maneuver through the woods... and was quietly as he had done for her not to take notice of him until then. "How are you able to move in this?" she questioned, hoping that he would see the sense in her inquiry. The more easily she was able to move, the sooner she could leave without further harm, to herself and the wildlife that apparently made their home.

His brows rose momentarily at Aideen's spout of anger and the ice in her tone. Schooling his features back to normal, he moved towards her side, his head bending to brush against her shoulder briefly in a reminder to keep her cool. He would deal with the situation. Turning to the stranger, he watched as her large bulk moved sluggishly through the thickets, the thorns probably sticking to her fur. It seemed the woman had not heeded his previous words, for she snapped at Aideen once again. Suddenly, Aideen's earlier words sounded eerily pleasant. His hackles bristled, making him look even larger than he already was. Letting out a growl in warning to the woman, he made himself relax his tense posture. This stranger was testing his hard earned patience, and Miccah mentally reminded himself that he needed to keep his cool. What example would he set to his subordinates if he lost his cool in every unpleasant encounter?

The stranger turned to him then, her roaming eyes tellig him that she was assessig him.

Her question of how he moved so easily through the thickets almost made him smile in amusmement, but he controlled his features to remain them looking firm. "Practice," he rumbled as an answer. Obviously, he saw the logic in her inquiry, but the woman had tested his patience a tad too much. It was time for this woman to leave his lands, before she said something else that gave the usually kind-hearted man a reason to haul her out himself. Clearing his throat, the coal colored beast opened his maw. "If you turn around, and walk a straight path, you will soon reach a clearing. From there, I'm sure you can find your way to wherever you wish to go." With those final words Miccah turned to take his leave, for his job here was done.

OOC: Thank you guys! :D Hopefully we can do this again soon!

The relationship between lead and subordinate was not unfamiliar though it did not keep the growth of discomfort at bay. She did not pay the interaction much mind at first, considering her bother for the environment greatly outweighed her bother for their closeness. Though she did take notice of it as any other might. She simply turned her muzzle from it and kept her eye on the ground until she was again address by the male.

His display did nothing to either quell or stir her anger further. She had left the inquiry in the air for a reason and could wait for his reply. In due time, she was rewarded albeit with a tone that suggested the patience was wearing thing. Again, an aspect she took no offense or bother to. As long as she was answered, she did not care for the delivery. However the single word was not what she had expected. Perhaps a more in depth explanation to follow, even a demonstration... but then she did not know either of the two to have anticipated so much. The single word left her frowning, yet she did not press further. Rather she kept her ears forward as he further explained the directions out of the Thicket, then turned away soon after to fade again in the Thicket. Anti-climactic, but she had gotten what she wanted in the end; a way out.

Huffing softly, the woman again turned to the smaller female, letting her eyes roam over her petite form briefly, then followed the instruction with a sharp turn on the tops of her paws. "Thank you," she muttered with a strange manner of calm, and even went as far as to dip her head twice though the large male had already gone. Indeed the woman was a short-tempered thing, yet she had enough etiquette to at least show her gratitude when it was appreciated. Without another word she stepped lively though again with a surprising show of care for the woods. Keep straight as best as she was able, she headed out, hoping that indeed his instruction was true and in the end she would find the open space she momentarily desired.
