It was by no means a remarkable offering. The limp body of the hare, still warm though its earthen fur was dusted in snow and ice, dangled from the girl's jaws as she navigated the twisting turns of the forest she'd come to call her own. It would feed one, or perhaps two, of them ─ most likely the children ─ and in that way she'd accomplished her goal this wintry morning.
Quil had been doing her best to be productive and to prove that she was and could be an asset to Elettra and Angier. Though she'd yet to acquaint herself with the majority of the pack, she'd spent some time with the queen herself and Greer, and that was an alright start. The Attaya hadn't forgotten the scent of her long lost brother, but she knew full and well that he'd not been in the area for some time. After all this time without him, he'd been right under her nose after her return and she had failed to seek him out; now, he was seemingly gone, another family member lost to her as a result of her own reservations. There was no telling when she'd see him again if ever, but...each day she still hoped that he'd come back around, and...if he did...next time she wouldn't let her fears get the better of her.
But it was not Rowan that had been her focus lately.
Most of her waking moments were spent thinking of @Rook and the ways in which she'd fulfill her promises to the boy who'd given her so much to look forward to. There were things he needed, herbs and medicinal things she'd told him she'd look into for him, for his father. With winter descended upon Relic Lore, it seemed as though her time to locate any and everything that would be useful to his cause was running out, but Quil knew just how resourceful Elettra was, and perhaps she'd had something stored away in her infirmary this entire time. Like a shadow, the girl rounded her way past a rocky knoll in silence as her eyes searched for the den mouth to the queen's special haunt. Tip-toeing over a web of frosted roots embedded in the ground, the scent of herbs old and new, hanging in the air like smoke, told her she'd reached her destination.
Just off in the distance she made out the entrance to @Elettra's infirmary, and it was then that she dropped her offering between her feet. Curiosity beckoned her to peer inside, though she dare not enter without the Archer's approval, permission or blessing. There was so much that she needed to know, answers that only Elettra herself could provide, and at this point it was now or never. Reclining to her haunches, she opted to wait for the silvered matriarch.
