@Iopah xD Sounds like a good idea.

In her own nervousness, the brown girl was late to notice the other's efforts to calm her, but they did not pass completely over her head; an embarrassed warmth spread in her cheeks at the gesture - here she was fearing the worst, judging the pale woman's every move, and meanwhile she was doing her best to ease the tension. I need to learn to be more trusting... Easier said than done, but for now, at least she could give the Woodland woman her trust, she'd earned that much through her forbearance.

So finally, the last bits of tension left Evann's body, and her smile reached into her eyes as they glanced up to briefly meet Iopah's. The creme pelted lady was smiling too, and Evann waved her tail in appreciation, unable to think of another way to show her gratitude. Then the Woodland wolf replied to her last comment with a small gesture at the warming land around them. True enough... Evann nodded as way of agreement, lost on what more to say about the affair; her own smile broadening at the joke.

In truth, she was looking forwards to the full arrival of summer, ready to take any amount of heat over another starving winter. She was about to say as much, when Iopah spoke again, her words echoing of departure. A small part of the sable lass was saddened by this, now that she was finally getting comfortable with the meeting, but it was only a very little one; they had both run out of things to say, neither of them seemingly the talkative sort, and besides, she had idled long enough. She needed to get back home, they needed her there; Or so I keep telling myself... Nodding at the other shewolf, Evann waved her tail again in a wave goodbye, offering a last remark with a true grin on her lips; "Th... That would b-be g-grand! I'll h... h-hope for th-that too." Then she turned her eyes northward, all thoughts of obscuring her pack's location forgotten as her mind settled back into the melancholic state that had become norm; Off I go. Home...

The time for lingering was ending. The sun was beaming down, melting the little pockets of snow into piles of slush. Somewhere nearby she could hear the thin trickle of a snow-melt stream. She shifted idly, hind legs stepping into a patch of cold dampness. There had been a point to this trip and she had yet to find anything worth the energy she'd put into it. The sun may be bright now, but she was a ways from home still. She couldn't dally any longer.

Another shift, this one more decided. Her pale legs had taken a single stride north, bringing her to an area of soaked grass when Evann spoke. The tawny muzzle turned to the Keep wolf with an expression of relaxed curiosity. This woman was very different from her preconceived notion of Keep wolves. Sage had been bold to the point of irritation and was far less amenable than this one. Iopah didn't need to be as guarded with Evann.

Unsurprisingly both wolves found the idea of a hunt favorable. There were few wolves that would turn down an offer to catch a meal together. Surprisingly she was genuinely looking forward to meeting the woman again. They had already hunted together, and after this meeting Iopah knew she would have none of the same insecurities from mid-winter. This woman was trusted now.

She lingered over that revelation briefly, then started north herself. Her path veered far left to avoid retracing her steps. If it there on the way down, it wouldn't be there now. This reasoning paid off. Many hours later she stumbled upon the still body of a fawn. Born much too early and without any insulating fat it had died in it's sleep. The meeting with Evann was pushed to the back of her mind as she excitedly dragged it home
